Cubs 7, Blue Jays 4. Javier Baez had three hits and drove in two to help the Cubs beat the Blue Jays. Rex Brothers got the win in relief.

Athletics 5, Red Sox 2. A bases-clearing double by Matt Olson in the ninth innings helped the A's come from behind against the Red Sox. Oakland overcame a great performance by Collin McHugh, who allowed just one run over eight innings.

Rangers 3, Tigers 1. Lance Lynn allowed one run over seven innings as the Rangers beat the Tigers. Willie Calhoun put Texas in front with a single in the third inning.

Twins 5, Royals 3. The Twins scored all five runs in the eighth inning to come from behind, with a homer from Miguel Sano tying the score and one from Jorge Polanco putting them ahead. Jake Odorizzi struck out eleven in eight innings to get the victory.

White Sox 3, Yankees 2 (10 innings). Tim Anderson tied the score with a single in the ninth, and Eloy Jimenez singled home the winning run in the tenth. Dylan Cease struck out ten in six innings for Chicago.

Indians 11, Mariners 2. Franmil Reyes homered twice and drove in three runs as the Indians routed the Mariners. Carlos Santana walked four times for Cleveland. Shane Bieber struck out nine in seven innings to earn his 13th win of the season.

Angels 6, Astros 3. Shohei Ohtani hit a three-run homer and drove in four total on the day as the Angels defeated the Astros. Julio Teheran struck out nine over eight frames to get his 13th victory as well.

Giants 5, Rockies 3. Austin Slater homered twice and drove in three to lead the Giants past the Rockies. Buster Posey put San Francisco ahead in the seventh when he walked with the bases loaded.

Mets 8, Phillies 3. Brandon Nimmo had three hits and drove in three to help the Mets beat the Phillies. Pete Alonso homered for New York.

Nationals 4, Padres 0. Austin Voth pitched seven shutout innings, striking out eleven, as the Nationals beat the Padres. Howie Kendrick had two hits and drove in two.

Reds 3, Pirates 1. Luis Castillo allowed one run over six innings, and Pedro Strop got the win in relief. Mike Moustakas hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning to put the Reds ahead.

Brewers 4, Cardinals 2. Eduardo Escobar homered and had three hits total as the Brewers snuck past the Cardinals. Yoshihisa Hirano picked up the victory in relief.

Braves 3, Marlins 2. Ronald Acuna Jr. brought the Braves back from behind with a two-run walk-off single. Ozzie Albies had three hits for Atlanta.

Diamondbacks 8, Dodgers 5 (10 innings). Nick Ahmed put the Diamondbacks in front in extra innings with a two-run single. Ahmed drove in four on the day, while Max Muncy homered twice and drove in four for Los Angeles.

Cubs 4, Blue Jays 3. Victor Caratini drove in two runs, including the go-ahead run in the third, as the Cubs slipped past the Blue Jays. Alec Mills got the win.

Mariners 5, Indians 0. Yusei Kikuchi pitched 7 2/3 shutout innings as the Mariners defeated the Indians. Mitch Haniger homered twice and drove in three runs.

Rays 7, Orioles 2. Mike Zunino provided a three-run homer as the Rays beat the Orioles. Charlie Morton struck out eight in seven innings for the win.

Rangers 8, Tigers 7. Willie Calhoun homered and drove in four runs as the Rangers topped the Tigers. Nick Solak and Matt Duffy had three hits apiece. Christin Stewart homered twice for the Tigers.

Twins 3, Royals 2. The Twins got three home runs, including Miguel Sano's 40th, to beat the Royals. Kansas City loaded the bases with one out in the ninth, but Tyler Duffey came on to retire the last two batters.

Yankees 9, White Sox 5 (13 innings). Gleyber Torres hit a grand slam in the thirteenth innings, his 39th of the season, and had six RBI on the day as the Yankees defeated the White Sox. Torres, D.J. LeMahieu and Miguel Andujar had three hits apiece.

Angels 13, Astros 4. Mark Canha hit a grand slam and collected three hits and six RBI on the day as the Angels crushed the Astros. Andrew Heaney got his eleventh win for Los Angeles.

Reds 9, Pirates 7. Nick Castellanos had a big day, with four hits, including a homer, and six RBI to lead the Reds past the Pirates. Raisel Iglesias got his 29th save.

Mets 5, Phillies 0. Jacob deGrom only made it into the sixth inning, but held the Phillies to one hit and no runs. The Mets got three home runs on the day.

Braves 9, Marlins 3. Johan Camargo had four hits and Ronald Acuna Jr. three as the Braves rolled past the Marlins. Sean Newcomb allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings for the win.

Nationals 4, Padres 1. Adrubal Cabrera's three-run homer in the seventh inning made the difference as the Nationals topped the Padres. Patrick Corbin allowed one run and struck out ten over 7 2/3 innings.

Cardinals 4, Brewers 2. Alex Reyes pitched five shutout innings to earn the win. John Gant threw two scoreless frames in relief. The Cardinals had a balanced attack, with no one collecting more than one hit.

Rockies 5, Giants 2. Kyle Freeland walked six, but allowed just two runs in seven innings to get the victory. Garrett Hampson put Colorado ahead with a single in the sixth inning.

Dodgers 5, Diamondbacks 3. A three-run homer by Mookie Betts made the difference as the Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks. Clayton Kershaw won his twelfth game of the season.

The Rays remain in the top spot of the power ranking, having won 15 of their last 16 games. The Marlins, who were in first place heading into July, have gone 12-27 (including ten losses in a row) since to fall into last place in the NL East. The Orioles have lost eight in a row and may challenge for the all-time record for losses in a season.

Luis Arraez had an incredible 18 hits in 26 at-bats for the Twins to win the AL Player of the Week. Austin Slater hit three homers and drove in nine to win the NL award.

Cody Bellinger has 9.1 WAR and leads in all three triple crown categories at this point.

Rangers 10, Orioles 7. Joey Gallo homered twice and walked three times as the Rangers beat the Orioles. Shin-Soo Choo had three hits, including a homer, and drove in four for Texas. The Orioles lost their ninth in a row.

Yankees 11, Rays 0. Gary Sanchez homered twice, driving in six runs and scoring four times, as the Yankees destroyed the first-place Rays. Jonathan Loaisiga threw five scoreless innings, and three relievers completed the three-hit shutout.

Mariners 5, Astros 4. Mitch Haniger, Starlin Castro and Kyle Seager homered to help the M's past the Astros. Seattle got scoreless relief outings from Sam Tuivailala, Carl Edwards Jr., and Austin Adams.

Indians 6, Athletics 3. Two-run doubles by Roberto Perez and Christian Arroyo in the ninth inning helped the Indians past the A's. Mike Clevinger struck out an incredible 15 batters in six innings, but didn't figure in the decision.

Brewers 8, Braves 3. Ryan Braun homered, and he and Eduardo Escobar drove in two runs apiece to help the Brewers beat the Braves. Corbin Burnes got the win, and Alex Claudio threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings of relief.

Cubs 6, Dodgers 5. Kyle Schwarber tied the score with a two-run homer in the fifth, and Victor Caratini put the Cubs ahead with another home run in the eighth. Adbert Alzolay was knocked out in the third inning, but four relievers held the Dodgers scoreless the rest of the way.

Rockies 7, Nationals 6. Jairo Diaz allowed three runs to score on two ninth-inning doubles, but got the final out to close out a nail-biter. David Dahl, Trevor Story and Tony Wolters homered for Colorado.

Diamondbacks 10, Royals 7. Carson Kelly homered twice, and Shane Peterson drove in four runs as the D-Backs beat the Royals. Adalberto Mondesi had four hits for Kansas City.

Everyone in the Texas lineup got a hit, and seven Rangers had multi-hit games. They hit six home runs, including two apiece by Scott Heineman and Todd Frazier.

Rays 7, Yankees 1. Jose Martinez had three hits and drove in three runs as the Rays beat the Yankees. Steven Matz allowed one run in seven innings for New York.

Blue Jays 2, Cardinals 1. A walk-off homer by Cavan Biggio won the game for the Blue Jays. Nate Pearson allowed one run in six innings for Toronto, and Deolis Guerra got the win in relief.

Reds 7, Red Sox 3 (11 innings). Aristedes Aquino hit a bases-clearing triple in the eleventh inning as the Reds defeated the Red Sox. Jesse Winker had three hits and Raisel Iglesias got the win in relief.

Four Dodgers pitchers combined to throw a three-hit shutout. Stephen Vogt hit a three-run homer, and Max Muncy had three hits and drove in two.

Nationals 15, Rockies 9. It was a Coors Field kind of game, as the Nationals scored in seven separate innings and had 21 hits on the day. Trea Turner and Asdrubal Cabrera had four hits apiece for Washington.

Diamondbacks 3, Royals 2 (10 innings). Rookie Seth Beer ended the game with a walk-off single in the tenth inning. Madison Bumgarner allowed two runs in eight innings for Arizona.

Padres 3, Giants 1. Austin Hedges hit a two-run homer in the second inning to set the Padres on the path to victory. Jacob Nix allowed one run in seven innings for San Diego.

Terrible news for Cody Bellinger, who will miss five weeks with a forearm strain. Bellinger hits the DL with a 44 home runs, 113 RBI, and 9.3 WAR (leading the league in all of these), and a .334 average (second place by two points). The silver lining is that he should be back for the postseason.

Giants 4, Diamondbacks 3 (12 innings). It was a wild one in Arizona, as the clubs scored a run apiece in both the tenth and eleventh innings. Brandon Belt drove in the go-ahead run in the twelfth and the Diamondbacks put two runners on in the bottom of the inning but couldn't score.

Dodgers 9, Rockies 8. The Rockies took the lead on a two-run homer by Raimel Tapia in the bottom of the eighth, but a passed ball and a single by Tyler White put the Dodgers back in front in the next inning. Los Angeles suffered injuries to Corey Seager, Enrique Hernandez and Kenley Jansen in the game.

Tigers 7, Twins 5. Christin Stewart came on as an injury replacement and hit a three-run homer to lead the Tigers past the Twins. Willi Castro had three hits for Detroit.

Astros 5, Rangers 1. Justin Verlander struck out eight and allowed one run over seven innings to pick up his 13th win. Four Astros had multi-hit games in the win.

Rays 4, Angels 3 (11 innings). Yo****omo Tsutsugo homered in the top of the eleventh as the Rays beat the Angels. Brandon Lowe had three hits and drove in two for Tampa Bay.

Mets 8, Athletics 2. Rene Rivera homered twice as the Mets defeated the A's. Marcus Stroman threw 8 2/3 innings en route to winning his league-leading 15th game.

Mariners 7, White Sox 6 (12 innings). Eloy Jimenez tied the game with a grand slam in the ninth inning, but Mitch Haniger hit a walk-off home run three innings later. Mallex Smith had four hits for Seattle, including a home run. Yoan Moncada walked four times and reached base all five for Chicago.

Orioles 7, Red Sox 4. Cedric Mullins homered and scored three runs to help the Orioles top the Red Sox. Baltimore lost starter Alex Cobb to injury, with Kohl Stewart getting the win in relief.

Braves 7, Phillies 3. Marcell Ozuna homered and reached base all five times he was up as the Braves topped the Phillies. Freddie Freeman and Adeinys Hechevarria had three hits apiece for Atlanta.

Marlins 5, Pirates 3. A two-run double by Jorge Alfaro put the Marlins ahead in the ninth inning. Tommy Eveld got the win in relief, and Drew Steckenrider picked up his 34th save.

Brewers 4, Reds 1. Josh Lindblom pitched five scoreless innings to get the victory for the Brewers against the Reds. Keston Hiura had two hits, including a home run.

The Braves have won five in a row and 16 of the last 19 and sit atop the power rankings with an 82-49 record. The Mets have won nine in a row themselves.

Marcell Ozuna had ten hits and four home runs to win the NL Player of the Week. Gary Sanchez matched him with a .500 average and four homers to win the AL award.

Andrelton Simmons has come on strong to tie teammate Mike Trout for the lead in WAR in the AL at 6.9. Cody Bellinger remains way in front in the NL despite his injury.
