To me, that's one of the better things about games like OOTP and BTS. You can cut out all that subjective stuff. If you're called out on a steal in OOTP, you were out. If you get called for DPI in BTS, you really did commit DPI. No fuzzy area to complain about.

I love that this will be coming soon, I have tried what is out there and nothing gives me the FM or OOTP experience.

I have two questions
As the game will be released in 2015, will the roster set be for the 2015/2016 season?or for the 2014-15?

And when will the game start? pre-season or before week one?

This game announcement is great news!

I have a question about league history...
How much of that information will be accessible inside the game?
I saw box scores will be available for every game ever played (which is awesome)
How about game logs or replays?
Also playoff brackets saved?
All time leaderboards?
Previous standings?

We don't know exactly when it will be in 2015, so I can't say for certain, but I guess it will be the 2015/16 season rosters.

Game Logs as in:
1st + 10: X runs for 3 yards
2+7, X runs for 1 yards ?? If so yes I think so.
Replays as in we can watch the whole game again, probably not

Leaderboards: Yes for all time, as well as seasonal.
Standings: I think so.

Will OOTP Baseball options like AI evaluation and trade settings be in the game?

Having stats determined OVR is one of my favorite things in OOTP Baseball.

One thing that is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to Football games (console or text sim) is the AI's willingness to stick with a struggling QB for the entire season finishing with horrible stats while a young or dependable backup QB sits for the entire year without getting any starts unless of course there was a injury.

This is great news!

I have been waiting so long for a new football game to hit the market and with the backing of OOTPD, this game should have all the support needed to grow over the years.

I can't wait to start a career coaching in the BAFL, build up my reputation and head over the Atlantic.

Agreed. Teams in real life would never (or very rarely) stick with a guy who was sucking for more than maybe 5 or 6 games at the start of a season, especially if their backup is a high draft pick or an expensive veteran.

Couple of gameplay questions,
1- How many plays will there be in the playbook. I assume they'll be plenty of plays considering there is only one playbook with multiple gameplanes for all the teams.
2- When playing an actual game on the schedule, will there be a running clock. Considering that timeouts and game management is a huge part. Or, will each play called run a certain amount of time and you manage the time accordingly.

Either way, I'm very excited about the new game. Its like the Ray Guy of text sims...LONG overdue.

1)Have not got an exact number yet, but lots.
2)Yes there is a game clock and play clock.

I would suggest NOT putting helmets with no facemasks in the facegen pictures. The baseball players have hats because in their real life photos they have hats. Real life football players' photos do not include helmets, just headshots with their team jersey. Hope to see this realism included

I agree. I already asked about this and it was stated something about hair in Facegen not being good... Which is surprising, as good as the faces are, that they wouldn't have realistic looking hair.

I remember the old .400 Software Studios game Total Pro Football and it didn't use Facegen, but it had decent (ish) fictional player photos with no helmet... Hopefully same style for this game too in the end.
