Chris Cook spun a great game today as he shut out the Orioles on 6 hits, striking out 6!

It was tight all the way as Toronto eked out a 1-0 win!

Keith Hernandez has now hit in 15 straight games.

The Orioles were able to cool off the hot Jays as Mike Flanagan spun a 3 hit shut-out and Baltimore won 3-0.

Lamarr Hoyt owned the Jays today, shutting them out on only two hits, as Cleveland won 8-0. That was the second game in a row that Toronto was unable to score a run.

One of those two hits did come from Keith Hernandez, who has now hit in 17 straight games.

Three Blue Jay pitcher combined to keep Cleveland hitless until the 9th.

Alas, they were also kept from scoring and Cleveland's two hit swede a single and a walk-off homer as they beat Toronto 2-0.

Andy Bowers had to leave the game after two but it is believed he will not miss his next start.

Dave Stieb pitched a good enough game for the win but Neil Allen couldn't hold it and picked up his 3rd blown save. The Red Sox got the walk-off 6-5 win on a sac fly.

Robin Yount had a good game at the dish, going 3 for 5 with a homer and 2 RBI, but he also made a crucial error that led to 2 Boston runs.

The new-look Jays couldn't put enough together as they fell 3-1 to the Red Sox. Robin Yount hit a solo homer and both George Brett and Phil Garner hit doubles int heir Toronto debut. That is five losses in a row for the Jays.

The Red Sox got to the bullpen and the previously unflappable Terry Leach coughed up six runs as the Jays fell for the sixth time in a row, losing to Boston 7-5.
