1886 is in the books and 1887 will be up soon. The only changes to the leagues, aside from the addition of Houston and San Diego in the NA , will be the shifting of Indianapolis and Pittsburgh from the American Association to the National League. This will leave make it 16 teams in the NL.

On the addition of Houston and San Diego. I am going to leave them together in the Coast League and will, if the auto expand does not even it up within the next three year, be adding two more teams (may need some moving once that is done).

It wont be long till the next addition to our little world will be coming. The next addition I do believe is the addition of the Player League in 1890. It is a one year league also and will come in on auto evolution and then two years later the AA will become auto evolution as it will end in 1891. That gives us from 1891 to 1900 with only the NL getting teams though me. In 1901, the NL will become MLB with the addition of the AL, there will be moving around as one more league will be developed that season also to add the teams that will be in the NL that do not go to the NL/AL. That league will be called the National Baseball League and that will leave us with only the Federal League to be added in 1914/1915.

It is moving along very quickly. It will get more and more interesting once the more well known player come in after the turn of the century.

1887 Season either late tomorrow or on Thursday

For the third year in since I put me in the game, I am the top prospect in the UA. I am stuck on the Monumentals reserve roster and dont seem to be able to find a way off. And doubt they will ever trade me. I am only 20 years old and have 2 32yo SP and a 34yo SP ahead of me, so maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

NL - At the mid season point, the Stars are still out big, 10 ahead of the Quakers and the White Stockings, one more month like that should end the race in the NL.

NA - CL - Tied up between the Olympics and Haymakers with the Forest Citys, Mansfields, Kikiongas, Canaries and Whites all within 4 games of the lead, interesting finish brewing here for sure. IL - The Eckfords are game ahead of the Westerns with New Haven and the Centenniels within 4 games. Good tight race here too.

AA - The Cincinnati Reds are out to a 1/2 game lead on the Colonels and the rest are starting to fade away.

UA - EL - The Monumentals are stepping it up, now lead by 9 over the Generals, could be over soon. WL - With only 4 teams, this is anybodys to win, well except for maybe the Outlaw Reds, they could be out of it but the White Caps are only 1 behind the Brewers. Chicago has to turn it on now or they too could be out of it.

NL - The Stars had the floor drop out from under them in July and now the Blues are only 4 games back and now in contention. With the season ending on the 29th, this could be a battle down to the end.

NA - CL - The Haymakers lead the Olympics and Kekiongas by 1 game, the Forest Citys by 2 and the Canaries by 5 games. With the seasno end a month off, this is a very close race. IL - Blue Legs are a game ahead of the Westerns and Eckfords, with The Red Stockings and Centenniels only 5 back, tight and tough race ahead.

AA - The Colonel and Cincinnati Reds are in a dead heat atop the standings and will make for a great finish.

UA - EL - The Monumentals are up 14 games over the Generals an unless something really weird happens they should capture the EL pennant. WL - Its comes down to the Brewers, one game up, and the White Caps. Good race to the end here too.

The Syracuse Stars took over early and even though the Quakers came on strong at the end, the Stars were able to fend them off and win their 1st title.

Colonels came out on top of a very hard fought AA this season. The race was here and there for Louisville but in the end, the did what it took to win their 3rd title.

The NA season was a very competative one on both sides of the League. In the CL, The Olympics held off the Kekiongas to win the pennant for the first time while in the IL, the Elm Citys won their second in a row. The NA Championship was a great battle, ending in the Elm Citys winning it for the first time 4-3. What a great season.

The UA season was a tale of two leagues. In the EL, the Monumentals just kept pulling away, winning it by 17 games and never having to worry. Winning the EL Pennant for the first time. In the WL, it was a different story and it was a matter of could anyone unseat the three time winners in St Paul. Milwaukee had the lead coming into the final month but it was not to be as the White Caps took the WL pennant for the third time in three tries. The UA Championship was a bit a battle that went seven games and in the end, like the previous season, the EL team took the title in 7 games. It was a great season.
