To my knowledge changing the Player Evaluation Percentages is what makes the AI act very differently.

I have a minor problem with the VORP calculation. It appears to be basing the calculation solely on the position the player has played the most, which is causing the occasional CF/SS with positive VORP who ends up playing DH to get slammed down to the negative. It should be basing the math on a combination of playing time. X% at position A, Y% at B, and so forth. Without this, VORP for multi-position players will forever be wrong.

But if I'm wrong on my perception of the calculation, then I'll shut up. :P

Finding a happy medium in the evals has been the one and only drawback to the stats only idea. But I'd still much rather deal with things like this as to have that kind of advantage over the AI.
Actually, if you go by 100% stats, the AI will eventually realize...as would a human player or a real GM, that the player isn't producing any longer. Much more realistic.

We need a more detailed scouting summary all together.

Contact
Power
Gap Power
Positions played and where the player is most comfortable
Overall Defensive Ability
Arm Strength (outfield & Infield)
Speed (should be tied to defensive range if OF)
Eye

Pitching Should include:

stuff
control
movement
pitches
velocity
ability to hold runners
recommended role

I will gladly help volunteer to write out many of these reports and help keep the "fresh" if in fact the new version is going in this direction.
