I had "THAT" season

I know that each of you that have played OOTP long enough have had a season like the one I am about to talk about.
The year is 2005 and I'm in the second year of a solo league with the Cincinnati Reds using Halo's updated roster.
In 2004 I trade some prospects for pitching help and in the off season spend every single dollar i have to sign two more and think I'm set.
2005 starts with 42 year old Rodger Clemens getting the nod. Fresh off signing the 2 year 16 million dollar contract he demanded he sends me an e-mail telling me that this will be his last season (bast***).
Unphased I start the season. My pitching gets hammered for all of may and June and I find myself 11 games back and in last place, then it happens, led by Griffey, Kearns, and Dunn I start winning, and winning in bunches. I start to fight my way back.
July and Auguest go by and now I'm in a tie with the Brewers for the division lead. I start simming one day at a time instead of a week. Making pitching adjustments after each contest.
September comes and goes and here we are the last series of the season, I get the Braves at home, the brewers hit the road to face the Pirates. After the first game I find myself 1 game out with two to play. We both lose game 2 and on the last day of the season it's simple, I gotta win and they gotta tank it for me to get a one game playoff.
I stop the sim, make last minute changes to the rotation. I look at the schedule and decide to sim only the Brewers game.....THEY LOST!!!!!!! Joy fills my heart. I spend the next 10 minutes trying to decide if I want to sim my game (I simmed all the others) or play it out myself so there is nobody else to blame.
I click the sim button, 15 innings later Austin Kearns hits a walk off homer to force the one game playoff.
Again I shuffle the rotation, get the matchup I want, tweak the lineup and click sim. I hold my breath as the game does it thing....I wait...and wait....and THERE IT IS, I MADE IT, I'M IN THE PLAYOFFS.
From behind me a hear a "SHHHHH" and as I look away from the monitor I realize that the sun is coming up, I see that it's 6am and I have played all night.....WHAT A GAME!!!!

Every season is THAT season when you play with the Tigers in 2004.

Damn, that's dedication! This game sure can be addicting. I like to play all of my games out and once it gets to the playoffs I have a hard time stopping, like you I find that the hours disappear all too quickly and all too frequently.

Kearns was a nice addition to my Devil Rays squad using Halofan's roster.

2/3 of the way through the season he was leading the AL in homers.

I hope I'm having that season right now.
Coming into the 2007 season with very high hopes my Jays started out a bit slow at 8-8.

I had a similar season where I was down 15 games at the break and got within three for the last series of the year which happened to be against the team in first. Win the first two so I'm within one, then my bullpen blows the last game and I lose by one, striking out on my last AB with guys on 2nd and 3rd. I had a rough year the next year then made it to the World Series the following year.
