LOL......This is a game you download. I never ever preorder a game that is actually something you normally purchase at the store. And if they're in Bermuda taken in the sun who cares? They can take another 2 weeks if they want to lower it another 10 bucks. .

The game not much different than OOTP5? I think you missed some of the screenshots. However it is still a baseball sim.

Dang it...nobody told me I lost my dignity when I pre-ordered. I thought I was just paying for a game. If I had known I was going to lose my dignity, I would have really needed to think about it more before I saved $9 by pre-ordering.... (sarcasm warning).

But on the other hand I applaud anyone who can keep their dignity AND pay $9 MORE than the rest of us...that, my friends, is goooooood!! lol

Well considering there is no possible way for him to get the game BEFORE he pays the company, I guess he won't be getting it. No great loss considering it takes at least some intelligence to play a text sim.

He'd probably quit as soon as he found out there was no easter egg to play with all Big Headed players.

Since you pre-order morons sent you're payment in, they're not rushing to get this game out anymore.

I pre-ordered the game to save £5. I don't see how saving a bit of money, whilst recieving the same end-product forces me to give up my dignity, or makes me a moron.

Have the OOTP team let me down in the past? No, they have not. Do I trust them about getting OOTP6 out? Yes, I do. Your argument here is SERIOUSLY flawed.

The entire company is probably kickin' it in cancun right now, sippin' frozen drinks, and watching the donkey show instead of coding... all paid for by the pre-order payments you sent in. I believe it was around the time pre-ordering became available that dreams of having the game "on the shelves" by opening day began to fade. Hmmmm.

Personally, I'd say freezing a drink would be a contradiction-in-terms. I mean, by freezing it, you make it a solid. Of course, we can't drink solids. What a crazy oxymoron. Of course, if you remove 'oxy' from the word 'oxymoron', you're left with 'moron'.

Are you seriously suggesting that Markus has chosen to make a game 95% complete, and run off with half of the profits he make from finishing the last 5%. Wow. I'm shocked that idea never occured to me before. That Heinsohn guy must be a MASTER ECONOMIST! Master, I tell ya.

Since they are not giving us a release date, but only restating over and over "release is not imminant"... I wonder if they could give us a date when the release will be imminent?

I agree that the cageyness over the release date is a bit OTT at this point, but commercial companies screw us over more and more often.

And they don't have forums where you can bitch at the head programmer.

Judging by the screenshots, this game doesn't look all that different from ootp5... looks like the menus changed colors... whoopie! But, I won't judge until I play it - especially since this company has rarely let me down in the past.

So, you're basing your ideas of how a game plays on the screenshots? Not smart. Look at the features, look at the gameplay tweaks. They're all big jumps over OOTP5.

Really, though, the team has gone so far with OOTP that it's hard to see gaping holes - thus, of course difference between versions willo get less marked. Already, OOTP sims baseball very accurately, includes very good AI, and allows us to participate in every part of the baseball season.

All that can really be added is more functionality, and improved HTML outputs, better commentary etc.

Just an observation, that's all.

The problem is that your post is NOT just an observation. It's wild speculation about wether or not Markus even intends on bringing out the game, and at any time soon. It's pointless and baseless insulting of people who pre-ordered the game. It's dismissing a game that you haven't played, and which from features and screenshots looks excellent.

That's not just an observation. Observations need explanation, justification - not just wanton speculation and bewildering trolling.
