Lando now 9 points up on Ossie in the championship, and 39 on Dutch Max.

Well, Kimi did say on the radio that Lando put water on the track, and immediately after that 3 guys go off at the same turn. Hmm... sounds pretty damn fishy to me.

No-no, Ossie is 24 points behind. And the Dutch guy is 49 points behind. Those are the only remaining contenders besides Lando. George Russell was still mathematically in there, but eliminated today.

25 for a GP win (3 left: Vegas, Qatar, Abu Dhabi), 8 for the sprint win (only in Qatar).

With 18 points for second in a GP, and 7 for second in a sprint, Ossie can no longer win the championship without assistance, as he can only take 22 points off Lando, if Lando always finishes second.

I'd wager just about anything that if Piastri didn't lock up he wouldn't of gotten penalized. The smoke made him look guilty. He never moved off his line and Kimi clearly turned down on him. But whatever. F1 is getting what they want. And I'm so tired of Max being a really good driver.

Is it 2026 yet?

The "racing rules" that are in place right now are downright stupid, but the gist that I got yesterday was that he would have gotten away with it as a "racing incident" if he had been "in control of his car", but if you lock up any number of tires you are by definition not "in control of your car".

Talk of Sainz being penalized for rejoining illegally during qualifying, when Aston Martin actually went to bat for him by saying it didn't affect them. Kudos to them

That qualifying session, by the way, was the most entertaining I've ever seen. Truly no idea who would be where from minute to minute. It doesn't rain in Vegas typically!

I'm already awake thanks to constant nightmares. The last one was that they patched the internet so that VPNs no longer worked and now i could no longer watch Lando going round in circles.

Everybody told me to watch Channel 2 instead.

For those unfamiliar with German programming, Channel 2 is very popular with old people, and is found to be particularly soothing for those in end-of-life care.

So yes, I was awake at least three times, I'm on no sleep, I feel ******* terrible, let's go!
