Important: This patch is only for OOTP 25 versions which were purchased directly from us or resellers who use our version. It is also available via the Steam client with the public password below.

UPDATE: We have updated the version to correct a few small issues noted. You can update your public beta version with 25.4.64. If all goes well, this will be released fully tomorrow.

Hi everybody!

We've been working hard on further improving the game, and here is a public beta for the upcoming 4th patch, version 25.4.64. Please give it a try and report bugs here if you'd like to help

The big update here includes the start of the Hall of Fame showcase on the main page. You can click through to explore some plaques and artifacts from our partnership. More items will be added periodically, feel free to check back in periodically! Also included is the option to customize sock designs for your teams.

Important info for online leagues: Note that this version is NOT compatible with previous versions. All online league members must be on the same version. To ensure updates are handled correctly, it’s recommended that the commissioner import all league exports while on the previous version, then update to the new version and publish the updated league file (that can be part of a regular sim). Then league members can update to the new version only after the commissioner has published the updated league file. Versions 25.4.63 and 25.4.64 are compatible with each other.

Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

In historical games with recalc, fielding experience will stay for players when historical transactions are disabled; when historical transactions or historical lineups are enabled, fielding experience will reset on recalc

Rule 5 players who change teams as minor leaguers will retain their 4/5 year exemptions
Increased development speed for some players
PT: Fixed regular watchlist cards showing in combinator watchlist
PT: Fixed using the back button to go back to the combinator page showing wrong wrong eligible cards
Misc bugfixes & tweaks

How to access the beta on Steam:

Quit OOTP 25 if it's running.
Open Steam client -> Library
Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 25
Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp25betapt
Click on "Check code"
Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Wasn't expecting this addition in a patch. Very cool.

I think they need to change how they have the default colors setup? Right now they have the sanitary socks set as the team color and the stirrups as white. Unless you switch the colors around when you select "plain" all of the socks will be white instead of the team's primary color ( or editable to whatever color you want), or white stirrups over colored sanitary socks. I had to manually change them as I did each team. At four unis per team that takes a bit of time.

Not complaining as it was worth the time to have the option added, but would make things easier if changed around.

Love the socks, but is anyone else having issues with pants since on the beta patch? When trying to design uniforms, the auto-load/default pants drop down menus aren't functioning/won't adhere to settings and come out lime green in all my saves.

Yea I'm changing uniforms for the new socks, and I can't change any of the pants. They all say "custom design" and the drop down menu is empty. When I generate random, it just picks the home pants and color scheme.

I am also having some trouble with the socks. When playing out a game, all left handed batters socks are messed up a bit.

The socks template is not working as intended, regardless of default templates or custom templates. It currently puts both right and left socks on top of each other on both legs instead of the left template on left leg and right template on right leg. So what you see on the left side of the screen where the template is shown is pasted exactly on the leg portions of the player models. Hopefully this can be corrected with the final patch.

This might work. Someone else came up with this idea.

Copy pants templates to the socks folder and it resolved this issue. Although its a workaround until fixed, just an idea

This feels like a good place to ask, but someone point me elsewhere if needed. I haven't downloaded this beta, I'm on 25.3 58. Running a MLB league with the added affiliate leagues. I have the default option ticked to Generate FA's from independent leagues, and I check transaction logs nearly daily. In August of the 1st season, and I'm used to seeing these game generated "independent leaguers" showing up every so often as a signing. So far, none at all. Is this working as intended?
