Hi. Ive read the thread. I still dont think I understand the difference between this an the default ootp rosters.

it certainly sounds awesome though. just no idea what it all means

This is pretty amazing. I'm on MacOS ... anyone know where to save the unzipped files? I don't have a saved games file, only what looks like zip packages for all my OOTP game downloads. Thanks for any guidance!

If you go to File > Settings > Troubleshooting, you can click to open your customizable data folder. There will be a saved games folder where you would extract it to.

I have it downloaded and I am going to play multiple test 2024 seasons using these CBL rosters after OOTP25 fixes the RestoreBackup to include target line tags so I don't have to mess with the original start date backup. It is nice for veteran gamers like me to have basically the full 40 man rosters instead of the 26-30 on the 40 provided by the default game.
Here are the changes I made to CBL rosters for playing a season once I get the RestoreBackup target line tag back working, starting by clicking Game/GameSettings:
Players I like injuries at Normal frequency
Players I like fatique at Normal
Rules change the Rule5 draft date to 2024 or there will be none after the first season.
Global check all ratings relative to MLB
Global current ratings 20-80 scale
Global overall show Stars
Global potential show Stars
Options I like to uncheck rainouts to have none for my season
Stats and AI I like Hook Starter at -3 for current era baseball
Stats and AI I like Pitcher Stamina at normal for all eras of baseball
I imagine changing the last two settings might conflict with how CBL planned resulting stats for 2024, but since I like doing 3D games it just seems that starting pitcher use with -3 starter hook and normal pitcher stamina works better for current era baseball.

Another reason why I am waiting for the missing target line tag for RestoreBackup is that my backup CBLTemplate can be edited as we get closer to the other teams opening day. For example I can manually put Lorenzen with the Rangers and place McLain on the Reds IL.

Once that target line is fixed and I set up a targeted game from the originalCBL backup to be targeted named something like "Test1," I will do one more thing before starting some 2024 season. From Game/GameSettings and then LeagueSettings I will click on Set AI to Allow Roster Changes as then the AI managers and GMs can operate normally for the season but with the original saved and backed up these AI changes will only affect "Test1" and not the original.

A couple of tweaks...
MLB Qualifying Offer for 2024 is $20,325,000.
MLB Minimum Salary for 2024 is $740,000.

Can someone explain to me how to use this file? This is my first year playing and I have no idea what I'm doing. I have downloaded the file. Also, I'm using a MacBook. Thanks in advance.

Hey gang!

Thanks for all of the positive comments!!

I am working to get the MLB draft order finalized and the Korean opening series to be played in Gocheok SkyDome.

The MLB draft order is close, but a few changes to it with the signings of Blake Snell and Matt Chapman.

I’ll send out another update roster with that information later tonight or Friday.

If you’ve already started your season you can just elect to import the new draft order file. I’ll have instructions posted on how to do that when I post the updated roster file.

Some setting within the file created this instance in 2029.
Marlins DSL team only has 8 players.

Did you turn on AI roster decisions to yes in settings?

Make sure AI roster decisions turned to yes, then the other AI teams should behave accordingly.

If that is checked and still issues run “computer manager on all ai teams” I believe is what it’s called in settings.

Yes, that setting is checked. It's in 2029 and the league is a lot different.

May need to up the international players being generated in settings.

I may have it set to “low” versus average

In past saves in past versions, I always put the max international signees into the pool, as there are hundreds IRL each year.
