I'd go to the Player Editor page, take a screenshot and post here. To post a screenshot, look under the text window that one types in to post, and hit the "Go Advanced" button, then look down beneath the box and look for the "Manage Attachments" button, hit that and navigate to the screenshot file via the pop-up and hit "upload". Lastly, submit the response. That would help someone see who this player is and would help tremendously. Thx

about 60%-80% of the 1871 players (and other 1870s players as you progress) have been mislabeled as switch hitters by the DB on import.

Black Players importing into Texas League?

In a historical setting with minor leagues turned on I've been noticing in the 1920s black players importing into the Texas League, despite negro rules enabled.

By importing in do you mean they begin there? Any particular players as examples?

1894 George Lee and Edwin Walker

So, I've ran 2 sims starting in 1871. In both sims George Lee and Edwin Walker appear in the 1884 season. George Lee is age 7 (8 under Real Stats) and Edwin Walker is 0 in both. The problem is both players end up having 6 to 11 lines appearing in the season stats for 1 year, in multiple seasons. They both have the exact same stats for 2 of the season also. Both are tied as the all time single season leaders (1895) with these number lines.

All those players are created with no real life stats when they are loaded in 1878.

Ned Williamson (id 359)
The Only Nolan (id 361)
Russ McKelvy (id 354)
Jim McCormick (id 353)

All those players began their professional career with the Indianapolis team in 1878.
https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/IND/1878.shtml

Also since the Indianapolis stats aren't listed: John Clapp (127) and Orator Shafer (224) miss season according to history and Art Croft (238) is retired.
Obviously Jimmy Hallinan (84), Joe Quest (59), Fred Warner (293), Tom Healey (350) and Candy Nelson (150) 1878 statistics with Indianapolis don't show up.

Just want to add, if it does a difference for you, that I play with no minor leagues, so only the players who played in the major league show up.

So one example is I started a historical league with minors leagues on in 1919. Historical lineups, IL and transactions is OFF. When the offseason for 1920 started the NeL shows up as a minor league as well as the Texas League. The Major Leagues and the Texas League has Negro League rules enabled. Here are some of the black players in the TL:

This is on the list of things to get to along with a few similar cases from 1884 (some of which have already been fixed).

I made up an updated historical db that fixes the vast majority (if not all) of the wrong dob guys from the 19th century and most of the merged players.

This will be in the public beta patch that should be out in a couple days, but I didn't want folks to have to wait any longer.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/5piuj04x5p...pdate.zip?dl=0

Just download this and unzip into your stats folder (overwriting the files already there, which should be found at yourootpinstalllocation\ootp24\data\stats

Then start a new historical game, and you'll get the updates (along with a bunch of other db fixes).

The next thing on my historical to do list is populating the hometowns and getting the code changed so those import correctly (where Ty Cobb doesn't come from Baldwn, NY or another Baldwin, like was always the case previously).

Also fixing up any still missing or incorrectly linked stats from 1878 or 1884.

Nice timing... since my simulation only reached 1882 it isn't that big of a deal to start all over again.

Are the Indianapolis players issue I was talking about yesterday fixed?

Saw your second post after posting my reply... so I guess the answer is no for now?

Indianapolis is not fixed. As mentioned above, it's high on my list of stuff to get to next.

One or two of the teams with the same issues in 1884 are fixed (the stats are linked to other teams that are actually in the db though, since it's not possible to link to the teams not included in the db for now).
