what graphical enhancements? It still looks like a game that was made in the 80s, lol. Though I've never played this game for the graphics.

As usual, I find it to be the good, the bad and the ugly. I am pleased with some of the good, will have to adjust to some of the bad and hope that the ugly gets mostly resolved through patches.

It looks like I'm not alone. I'll continue to keep my franchise leagues in v23 until the outlook improves. Hopefully that won't be too long.

I transitioned my various saves over to 24 (of course leaving the 23 versions intact, just in case). It was a laborious task this year, on a Mac, thanks to Apple's protective "sandbox" approach. Got it done with lots of support.
Thus far (I play out my team's games, so a snail's pace, compared to many. I did complete my 2023 Season sim, and into the offseason...) no major issues, and I am impressed with the enhancements. The player ratings and statistical profile seem to be generating acceptable results across a full season of play. (I have learned that setting trades to "high" yields A LOT of trades, including some that do not make sense. Lesson learned; reset to low.) I play with development on and, in new sims, high TCR. My ratings basis is 40/30/20/10. Scouting is on high accuracy. No historical lineups or transactions. There were some minor (pun intended) issues with historical seasons (1915 and 1921 for me). And, there is the continuing amazing effort to convert Negro League stars (and other players) to valid MLB ratings using a comparative algorithm that I do not pretend to understand. YMMV but I am seeing credible numbers. I'm not a graphics guy, but there have been noticeable improvements. I had a full-on brawl after a HBP that was quite entertaining - and changed the course of the game and a postseason series. I don't do PT, so no comment there. These are all personal leagues for me, so very conscious of anything that is out of whack.

It pains me as I like all the UI changes, it's more pleasant to look at, but I'm not moving my forever league in. It's a hearty patch away from being finished cooking. I have often failed to learn the lessons of pre-ordering and developers have a way of reminding you. Keeping the faith it'll happen.

The drafts 3 years out have 20 to 30 75 to 80 rated players. Contact potential ratings see multiple players with over 100 with one guy 145. This is on 2 separate saves.
