Diamond League
New York (complete with Edgar) took their first series from the Tinners, and have every chance of doing the same in their final set of 3.
Port Ruppert have 3 each against Aomori and North Bay, so a strong finish from the Mundys could see them supplant Mount Hawke. |

There's only six games left between Mevagissey and Savannah, so we're on playoff/relegation watch now.

Ol b213
Brooklyn played with dynastic aplomb, winning 9-of-10, to inch within a half-game of Terra Incognita, who muddled along at 5-4. The Dynasty have a busy September schedule on tap, with 8 OL games remaining, while the Rustlers have 7 left to hold off Brooklyn's late charge. Columbia, 11-4 in August, and Aceldama, winners of 5-of-6, set themselves up to benefit from any season-ending slump by the front runners. The Cougars have five left, the Butchers six, all against Shinbone, which slumped to 0-3 to fall off the pace. In PT play, Bruno is hanging on, just a bit outside relegation. Our League teams lead three divisions, with Shinbone within realistic striking distance of the wild card race.

Waxhaw falls back to earth and opens the door for an interesting final month, as Greenland and Waffletown have potential to steal the crown |

Coney Island rolls into the final month with a small cushion. The Warriors have six OL games left, all against Long Beach, while second-place Eden Prairie has three games against Austin.

Didn't get anything exciting in the 47 packs I opened this morning. A live diamond (Freeman) Adam Kennedy who has been plugged in as the Warriors 2b. A couple of low live golds and dupe of Clarence Mitchell.
Outside of having your reserve roster filled does anyone know if there is a way to have all cards from packs go directly to the inactive roster? I poked around the PT settings and it doesn't seem possible but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. |

D.373 AC West was close, but Port Ruppert legged it out to win the division and a slot in the playoffs. Aomori tied for 2nd with the division whale, 3 games back, and North Bay was still in it as of Saturday. Good luck to the Mundy's and Tinners and the OL in the post-season!
The #1 seed was taken by an average-for-Diamond team, but it was the only team in the short league that went with a power-heavy, Righty Cheese strategy, and it paid off for him. (ed. Was YourKidnies team.)

New York took their final series 2-1 against the Tinners, which opened the door for Port Ruppert. However, Aomori rapidly slammed it shut with a 3-game sweep. I do wonder what difference a few interleague games would have made...
Anyway, as you can see, I was wrong about how the playoffs would be handled. Only 8 teams and straight into the DS. But... what is the ideal way to handle an 18 team league where none of them are really good enough for Perfect? ![]() New York looked like they'd be safe for a while, but some stinky RNG (like Edgar batting .150 last I saw!) dragged them into the 3rd relegation spot. Good luck to the Mundys! I'm hoping to either bomb out, or for a spectacular OL series

Mevagissey coasted to the crown, but also coasted to 2nd in their division and face a tough battle for promotion.
Good luck to Colorado Springs who also looked like they may win their division but fell away. Glad we're split up in the wildcard. Doug and Savannah both survived, so no relegations. |

Rustlers Barely Survive Grovers Mill Invasion to Take OL Crown
Terra Incognita clung to its half-game lead over Brooklyn as both squads stumbled to the finish line at 3-5 for the month. Grovers Mill lived up to their nickname with a vengeance, going 7-2 in separate visits to the top two squads, besides taking a pair at home against Columbia, as the Invaders completed a 9-2 September to vault into third. In PT play, there will be, at most, two promotions. Bruno staved off reegation by a single game, ensuring at least six teams in Bronze next season. Good luck to the playoff teams.

Gold league:
After jumping out to a large lead early on, Waxhaw dropped back as the season wore on and gave others a shot at taking the top spot. In the end, the Wayverns held on to claim the crown, just .029 ahead of Greenland. Waxhaw will also be the lone OL representative in the post season. Baltimore will head back to Silver |

Let the downward spiral begin. FWIW, that Edgar will probably go once I find someone who can be consistently good to replace him with. Once again I have to put it out there: Things that seem like upgrades always seem to make Magus teams worse. RNG and variance can kiss my ass. Last edited by Magus978; 07-03-2022 at 02:30 PM. |
