Stats only league (GBL)

Grindstone Baseball League is the best stats only league in OOTP. We just reached the 2036 Playoffs (began in 2019), and we have one opening right now:

- Kansas City Royals

We live sim on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday during the regular season.

GBL is one of the best leagues around with the added advantage of being stats-only, which is really rare. If you haven't tried it, stats-only requires a lot of strategy and planning. You have to know your ML team and minor league system in depth, and it takes a lot of effort to build a competitive squad. It's extremely immersive and fun IMO, but it's also a real challenge.

Alberto is a fantastic GM. One of the best I've seen. Always trying to improve things, open to feedback, and just a generally nice guy who cares a lot about the league and GMs.

GBL is filled with solid GM's who know what they're doing. Many of us have played stats-only for years. Great guys, lots of Slack chatter (all in good fun), zero drama, and a very helpful attitude if you aren't familiar with stats-only play. In fact, we have an entire Slack section devoted to stats-only tips and strategies to help new GMs.

Can't rec this league enough. It's truly outstanding and rarely has openings.

I find Stats Only very interesting, but don't have the bandwidth right now and need to get better at "normal" online leagues first! But bookmarked for the future if I think I have time and can handle it.
