2022 Hall of Fame Ballot adds guys it shouldn't
For the first HoF ballot after simming 2022, it puts on a whole bunch of players whose time on the ballot IRL has expired, such as but not limited to, Julio Franco, Ryan Dempster, JD Drew, Octavio Dotel, Kelvin Escobar and Keith Foulke.

I recall seeing an error where retired players (many, if not all retired players) incorrectly had 2022 as their year of retirement. I wonder if this is a consequence of that. Do they have the full 10 years left on the ballot as if they just retired?
EDIt: Though if it had a lot of false 2022 retirements to choose form, I'm still upset I don't see Lou Whitiker's name... Last edited by LansdowneSt; 05-17-2022 at 03:29 PM. |

They do have the full 10 years, although I just checked a few of them and their retirement years are correct.

I just ran the QuickStart and also had folks that never made the ballot or have fallen off already on my end-of-2022 season ballot. It may be that it takes the first year of playing to have these players fall off again. Examples of mine included Bob Wickman, Jose Vidro, Matt Morris, Hideo Nomo. All guys from the 2007-08 retirement timeframe.
