Anyone know the answer?
Is it possible to set the game to use real lineups/transactions, but change the schedule from the as played schedule to the for lack of not knowing what to call it, the non as played version of the schedule? Will the game use the real lineups for the games that match the real as played schedule and revert to the AI for games that don't match? Thanks.

Playing around with it now. That's always been my issue with this method of play. I don't want to get to the end of the season and have races undecided due to games that didn't get played.

One thing that's going to happen using the different schedule is at times pitchers will end up starting with very little rest or even back to back. For example, this morning I watched a game between the Yankees and Brewers on 04/11/1976. This was a game that must have been rained out in real life as the Yankees and Brewers played on the 9th and 10th, but did not play on Sunday the 11th. In my game this morning Catfish Hunter started for the Yankees and threw a complete game. Just checked and in real life Hunter started for the Yankees on April 12th against the Orioles. So, Hunter is going to end up making back to back starts.
I pm'd Pstrickert yesterday and he told me this would probably be one of the things that could happen. When I get home from work, I'm anxious to see how Hunter does going back to back. Injuries aren't a worry in this method of play, but will he be worn out after just a inning or 2? I think between the choice of having a few back to back starts or having races finish undecided due to real life unplayed games, I will take the back to back starts. I know a lotta folks think real lineups is a boring way to play, but sometimes a trip down memory lane can be so much fun.

Well that experiment is over. The starters going back to back had guys starting one game and pitching only one inning in the next one. Then the team would burn through their entire bullpen. This isn't me dogging OOTP, just commenting on what was happening.
