Merzlikins in this game didn't have a great year, so they shipped him off to Buffalo because Korpisalo outplayed him and was putting up better numbers in a 50/30 split in games. Again, maybe not a trade I would make, but it's not a bad trade. (Columbus also added 4 million in cap savings/contract savings too because of it)

As for Dahlin, he's fine in Buffalo in this game. So I'm not sure what to tell you. Events consistently repeating don't happen a lot, but I would be curious to see Buffalo's stats/team/budget to see why they were making that move.

Oh, okay. I understood that trade happened in 2021. Not a bad trade in any means, but i thought it happened 2021. So not that unrealistic if it was 2022 or later. My bad.

Unfortunately i dont have that Montreal save anymore where that happened first time, but it was pretty early in season since Dahlin had only 5GP. (You can see it from screenshot in thread) In Arizona save where this happened second time it was again early in season. Buffalo didnt have played single game yet.

EDIT: I started to wonder that im playing in challenge mode. Could that be a cause of problems. Maybe i try a new save without challenge mode.

There are several others, but those are the highlights.
In real life it very rarely happens that a captain gets stripped off his "C", especially when being the face(s) of the franchise for 15 years.
Only comparable real life case that comes to my mind would be J.Thornton with the Sharks. But that's a rare exception and still not as bad as the examples above.

Absolutely no way this could happen in reality.

Jett despite it's issues, I would say definitely still buy the game. The dev tea mare making constant improvements, and if you notice in the forums here; they genuinely care about improving the experience for the player.

I'd second that, it's been well worth the money! I was new to Hockey when i bought it and i've already played over 100 hours. Also, with the two guys above provided they've submitted those save games then Jeff and the team will look into it and work out those issues.

I've got two franchises running since the new update and Dahlin hasnt moved once in 5 years, so it's not everyones experience.

This is the big thing. I've ran multiple test saves through the various versions of FHM8 and rarely have come across insane waivers.

Indeed, it looks like the developers are listening to the players. I guess I'll still wait at least for the next update before I buy..

I've played 5 years starting with the new rosters. One thing that I notice consistently is teams not signing their top prospects. Every single year there are 3-5 players with 4.5 or 5 star potential available as UFA. They are all around 20-22, and their rights just lapsed. Most are former top-10 picks. I don't understand why their teams wouldn't sign them, especially since they all just want the standard entry-level 950k contract.

Signing of UFAs is still buggy. Too much very good Free Agents in their top years are unsigned. That is from September.

The latest update should address most of that.

Looking at your cut off photo, you're at least 10-15 (if not 20) years into that save. I'm not sure if the last update will affect that game, but also - what's the cap situation for teams in that league? Have you changed the Cap?

Cap is default.

It was September 2059. Now im in January 2060 and must admit, the situation is much better.
Not perfect, but better.

AI should value these prospects waaaaaay more imo. Pls fix, this game is unplayable.
