Opposing starting pitchers throwing a ton of pitches

I play with a franchise which, I believe, began with OOTP 2019.
I play out all nine innings of every regular-season game.
I'm only a week into my 2033 season, but I have noticed that the opposition's starting pitchers are consistently throwing from 110 to 120 pitches per start
And we're in the third week of April.
In prior seasons, and editions, most starters were exiting at 80-90 pitches.
This made running up pitch counts a major part of my game plan.
Is there something different with this edition.
I doubt I will change it, but I will have to adapt.

Check under League Settings>Stats & AI

About halfway down on the right is a setting for Starting Pitcher Stamina, take note of what the setting is. If it's well above 1.0 then change it to something closer to 1.0 or just 1.0. I noticed once when a season started something like this happened and the setting changed to 1.3 or something like that so I changed it back and it was fine going forward.

I had noticed the same issue, then realized my pitchers were affected too. So I stopped worrying about it. Goose = Gander.

Maybe the game has been altered to defeat that tactic.
