3D very choppy on Mac - Page 2

Sounds like I am out of luck right now as well. Have played the past 7-8 versions but 22 just will not run on my machine. I have a iMac 27 in, late 2013 running macOS High Sierra, version 10.13.6 According to Apple, my machine is not compatible to run macOS 11 due to the machine's age. You must a iMac, late 2014 to handle the OS.

This continues to be an issue - I hope we can get this resolved without the only fix being OS11. I have no dynamic cameras, or multiple views - just a single, from above the plate view. No sound - yet, choppy as all get out.

AND, not even the option to try other replay modes because every one just crashes the game when I try.

We're still looking into this, and hopefully will come up with something before too long, but we do highly recommend upgrading to OS11 if at all possible. Even if we can fix things up a bit, the game will probably never work as well on 10 as on more recent versions.

It's a bummer this wasn't made known beforehand. Would've waited until I had not just $40 for the game but enough for a new computer that can support the new OS. Oh well.

Sorry that's the case

We do have Mac OS 11 down as the recommended minimum OS on the system requirements. 10.11 or higher is listed as the minimum requirement since the game is still playable on that, even if it's not optimal. So we did kind of try to let people know that having OS 11.0 or higher is definitely recommended.

Same for me. I am on 10.11.6 OS-no more updates available. 8Gb memory, Intel HD graphics 515 1536 MB, 1.2GHZ processor.
Modern 3D view works on OOTP21

Yeah, not blaming you guys, I could definitely have checked that. It's just OOTP has always been the one game I never had to worry about my computer supporting so I just never considered it as a potential issue.

Makes sense with all the improvements you guys made to 3D, though.

I hope there is something you may figure out to fix this in a patch. I use this on a mac I use for Adobe Creative Cloud, and as of now, it is recommended I do not switch to Big Sur. I uninstalled OOTP 21, but don't have the key to at least go back to it.

If you send an email to support ootpdevelopments.com they can likely track down your OOTP 21 key for you.

As far as the issues on 10.10, we haven't given up on finding a solution but it's not likely to be super quick even if we do, unless we get really lucky.

Thanks for looking into it. I am unable to upgrade to 11 as well and ultimately was able to play 21 on OS 10 once the team made updates. Right now this is too sluggish to play-buttons don't even work etc. Appreciate it and look forward to the fixes for mac users.

Appreciate you guys still looking into this. As a lot of others in this thread, I am stuck with High Sierra.

Just "upgraded" from a mid 2010 macbook to a 2011 iMac and just assumed it would work better on there. Kind of wish I would have looked this up while I was playing on my laptop lol.
