waivers

I have tried but i just do not understand waivers even after reading the manual. I just made a trade or attempt to but my player did not clear waivers. I have no idea why but he didn't so when you make a trade how can you be sure that your player will clear waivers?

I assume you mean a post deadline trade? That's the only time this happens in modern time leagues.

After the trading deadline in mlb, trades are possible but all players must pass through waivers. Any claim on any player stops the trade.

IRL behind the scenes GM's make calls to pave the way so there are no claims. Even then several real life trades have been derailed.

Look up waiver trades

Besides the manual, here's another explanation. It is pretty complicated! Hope this will help some.

It’s important to note that waiver traded no longer exist. The OP must be playing historical here.

I'm not playing historical and waiver trades are definitely part of OOTP and will remain.

When this was a thing, in most cases teams would put nearly all of their guys on waivers at the start of the post-trade deadline period to flood the market and hide which guys they might actually trade since they could just pull back anyone that got claimed.

Then, they would begin trade talks already knowing who had cleared.
