Dumb question: Does Perfect Team 21 end when 22 starts

I just started playing late in 2020, and with the new version of the game due to come out in a few weeks, does that mean that our teams from 21 will be wiped out.
Or will we be able to carry them over.
Or will we be able to continue playing them in 21?
Just wondering, as I don't want to invest heavily in a team, which in a few weeks will no longer be functioning.

PT21 will continue until shortly after PT23 comes out. So another year before the sims stop. As long as you have PT21 you will always be able to view your team even when the simming stops in 2022
