Jr. A goalies not playing

I just noticed something. Not that huge of a deal as they still seem to be developing. I control an expansion WHL team. So naturally I don't have a farm system linked up to it. I spread my prospects/extra players throughout the various non playable leagues.

I sent a defenseman and a goalie to my hometown team, Brooks Bandits of the AJHL. I'm in February and my dman has played 20 something games in Brooks. My goalie has only played in 4. I looked at the 2nd goalie in Brooks and hes only played in 2.

My question is this. If the team has played 20+ games, but both goalies have only played 6, who played in net for the other 20 games? Lol

Ive gone around and looked at other teams in other leagues (BCHL, SJHL) and the same thing is happening. Ive yet to see any goalie who has more than 10 games this year.

I may be mistaken, but because it's a non-playable league, the stats are just being generated to reflect their stats.

Makes sense I supposed. I noticed this in FHM 6 too but it wasn't as bad and as noticeable. My goalie is developing, but is he developing at a normal rate, despite not playing? I want my players playing, which is why I put them in Jr. A as opposed to just sitting in my reserves.

I noticed the same issue. I sent down my young goalies to the juniors thinking they'd get some playing time, but lo and behold they get benched.

I would love to see an option similar to OOTP where minors (affiliated clubs) play players according to their POT rating, and not their overall rating.

I know Junior teams are technically independent, but I know in Football Manager, you can 'loan' out a player with the condition that they start.

Again. Still early days for FHM, but two things that I'd love to see, and related to your question!

If you're talking about Non-playable leagues, they aren't benched. It's just how their stats generate. Don't read too much into it until they are on your team!
