Check out this box-score

By the way, the AI's starting pitcher was a stamina 40 pitcher.

Check out that strike-out total.

And I checked, and this breaks the record for the most strikeouts in a game of any length by both teams - 48 in an 18 inning game between the Cubs and Yankees on May 7th 2017.

And another record-breaker - most strikeouts by a team in one game. The record is 26, tied by 4 teams from what I gather.

And the AI - (The Astros), in the next game holds the O's to a combined 6 to nothing shout-out. With both teams at 5 hits a piece.

Thanks for this.
The most I've ever played was 18 innings.

Infractions: 0/1 (1)
Second most BB in an extra inning game by one and both teams as well. Likely most LOB records as well

Yes, thanks for sharing this incredible boxscore.

Let's see:
22 innings
only 21 hits combined
28 bases on balls
53 K's
scoreless tie ends with a walk off HR

This is the 'poster boy' boxscore for the way the game is played today.
Three true outcomes.
And how terminally boring it would have been to watch.

Thank goodness the game was played in July and in Houston. On a cold night in April or September the fielders might have frozen in place for lack of movement and activity in an open air stadium.
Never mind the scores of fans who would have had to be treated for frostbite after falling asleep in the stands.

I do see Baltimore stole 5 bases - probably just to try and stay loose for the next half inning of standing on their heels in the field waiting for something, anything, to happen.

Mountcastle tied the record for most strikeouts by a batter in an extra inning game.
