He may be more likely to move him, making him more open to offers. But if he isn't on the trade block, it may be a tough go. |

So, Iwhen it comes to potential, I've noticed players lose potential stars. I've a young player (19 or 20) go from 5.0 potential to 4.0. I have a few questions about that.
1) I've not noticed it go up, just down. Can it go up? Can a player reach a higher level than what was predicted? 2) How much of that is just scouting (their accuracy was "A" rated concerning that prospect mentioned above)? 3) How much is that with the player being in the wrong level, or not getting enough ice time? And if it has anything to do with ice time and I'm playing as GM only, is there a way for me to get my coach to play specific players more? And an aside to that, is there a benefit for me to set the AHL's coach to play prospects more? I've been keeping it at "balanced" but am I doing a disservice to my development? Thanks... |

Keep in mind though, 4 star player is still really, really good. They just aren't next-worldly good, like Gretzky, Orr, etc. |

I don't get the whole "hot goalie" thing...
I started a game in 1967 with Random Debut.....of the other 11 teams, one goalie is H(1)one is H(3), one is H(4), and the other EIGHT are all H(5)!!! My goalie (Harry Lumley) FINALLY got to H(2) two games ago. Then I was thoroughly outplayed on the road by the Canadiens. I was out shot 37 - 15 and lost 2 - 1, and he dropped to H(1). Then I lost the next night to the Rangers, 2 - 0, and gave up 30 shots. And now he's cold. So while I did lose 2 games, Lumley played to the tune of a .940 save percentage, and went from H(2) to cold..... Last edited by Elvis965; 05-19-2020 at 04:11 PM. Reason: Calrification |

I might be obtuse, but what does {HO} stand for on the rosters next to the Goalies?

Why can I only dress 19 players?
I started a challenge mode game in 1950 and it only lets me dress 19 players so my 4th offensive line never has enough players in it. Just got the game, I really want to like it but this is making me hate it. Any advice would be appreciated. |

I have some questions about coaches:
1. Are there certain coaching categories that are less important for assistant coaches? Like, do I need my assistants to have solid numbers for categories like tactics, ingame tactics, & motivation for example? 2. Let's say I'm looking for a new goalie coach. I've been prioritizing these categories: Coaching Goalies Coaching Prospects Physical Training Player Management Motivation Discipline Tactics Ingame Tactics Am I off-base in what I'm looking for? |

I just started a historical sim in 1950 in challenge mode and my ticket price is set to $0 and I see no way to change it. Can I change it?

One last thing, my minor league team has zero games scheduled, there are no standings but the players have stats. What is going on?

Yes.

While players accrue stats, the league is non-playable and therefore no games are played. It's more or less there to give the illusion of a season going on rather than nothing. Last edited by Adam B; 05-26-2020 at 03:41 AM. |

In some places it appears that "Great" is listed above "Excellent" but the inverse in other areas. I always thought Excellent was the top rating, but then on the Line Chemistry portion of the player profile, it lists Great above Excellent. So, which is it? Great>Excellent or Excellent>Great?

Great > Excellent. Are you seeing the reverse somewhere?

Also, so ticket price is essentially meaningless? |
