CF skybox entering stadium/field of play

Has anyone experienced this, know how to remedy this? On 2 different computers, the background sky picture bleeds through the outfield fence and literally takes over the field (as seen from behind home plate):

https://youtu.be/OHMZcb3qA6M

Here is a brief video of the bug in action. Game unwatchable/unplayable because of this!

We have experienced this issue on both of our computers with two different save files, a historical and a live start sim. This bug happens in almost all of the major league ballparks, including the spring ballpark and a user created park.
I have tried disabling the tracking camera, to no avail. As well, I replaced the ballparks folder in the save with the OOTP 20 ballparks, which did not fix the issue either. Deleting the skybox pictures from a ballpark does not help, as the default black picture also takes over the outfield. The bug occurs about one of every two times the game is booted.

Have had the same issue on all recent patches, including the most recent patch (version 41).

Any help greatly appreciated, thank you!

I'm running into the exact same problem, but it's much less severe in my case. I haven't been able to find a solution though.

same problem here, among others

Getting the same issue in EVERY ballpark now...default or workshop BPs.
Havent found a solution. Also have an issue now with game crashing during almost every played game ,but especially when "save game and leave" is selected. NONE of this happened until the past week or so. NOthing has changed in my game (maybe d-loaded a couple of hist BPs), running on WIN 10, a new desktop PC that's completely updated and has no issues with other more complicated games...so I know it's something with OOTP21. RUnning Steam version. Sent a tracelog to DEVs and hope to get a response.

Somewhat relieved we're not the only ones having this issue, but also hoping to hear from the developers. Thanx!

Hey CyborgManatee,

Would you mind sharing your system specs?

Through another thread we've realized that both me and Robedits have similar computer specs, Dell desktops. Wondering if there could be any correlation.

losing outfield fence

I am having this issue also with the outfield fence disappearing...also for some reason the CF is in the pitch selection box at the top center of the page.

Posted already in the other thread mentioning this but will post here too.

Our 3d guy, Jorin, mentioned this:

That is a problem with the viewing distance.

It would be good to know in which of our parks this also happens or if I could get this modded park to investigate the problem.

So basically, modded or default park, can you guys let us know specifically some of the parks where you've run into this issue. But we'd especially want to know which of the default parks you see this in.

Hey Lukas and Jorin,

I just tested all 30 Major League Parks on another computer, not the same one as my previous video had been recorded on.

Here is a video of the problem occuring at the Spring Ballpark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3hlS9hni7w
Here is a video of the problem occuring at Marlins Park (less obvious, but clearly visible in the center field stands): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KasP8vEQhlc

Here is a list of all the parks that had the issue:
Camden Yards
Fenway
Wrigley
Colorado Field
Angel Stadium
Marlins Park
Yankee Stadium
Citi Field
PNC Park
Oracle Park
Busch Stadium
Ballpark Creation Kit park
Default major league park
Default minor league park (spring ballpark)

By far, the worst parks are Wrigley and the two default parks (major & minor).

Lukas, I'm pretty sure that the previous video was not recorded on a modded ballpark. It's just standard Wrigley Field, the same Wrigley as I saw in my fresh install on my other computer.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help, and I'm glad to hear you guys are aware of some problem with the viewing distance.

I apologize, I haven't been able to get on here in a few days so I'm just seeing your question now.

Yeah, I'm running a MSI gaming laptop. I'm now starting to have issues with random crashing when I try to play each individual game instead of simulating them.

Did anybody try playing the game in full screen mode? That seems to fix that particular issue for me for some reason. I haven't seen it since then, but unfortunately I seem to be having a completely different graphics glitch now that has led to random crashing. Whenever I try to play a game out, the screen is initially black except for the UI, then some of it clears up on the first play, before going away completely. The really strange thing is that I don't run into the problem the very first time, but if I save during the middle of the game and reload it, that's when the black screen issue appears.

Anyways, I won't go into a great deal of detail in this thread because that seems like a completely different issue than what this thread is about.

Hey DH59,
the issue should be fixed now. Can you please try the newest beta version and report back if it is also fixed for you.

Hey Jorin,
Thank you so much!
The issue seems to be fixed for us. Tested several times in the spring ballpark, and no problem (we're in spring training in our sim).
Will let you know if anything crops up once we get to regular season MLB parks, but we're very optimistic!

Hey Jorin,

Actually, we've discovered that the CF bleed problem is *almost* entirely fixed thought you'd want to know. (Newest beta patch 54)

It's gone in the vast majority of MLB parks, but the background sky box looks as though it still hasn't been backed off far enough in the original worst offenders. Whatever you did worked, but it seems to be necessary to go just a bit further: the spring park skybox still cuts the field, while in Wrigley it just cuts the scoreboard.

Spring Training:

Wrigley:

The default Major League park is completely fixed though.

Thanks again for your help!

Thx for the feedback!
I've scaled viewing distance even a bit more, so the clipping problem should be eliminated in the next beta build.
