New Fictional League - Need GMs

I tried to post this from my new forum handle for the league but it didn't seem to work. Figured I'd post from my main account instead.

New league forming for OOTP 21. We are seeking prospective members to take over 1 of 21 remaining franchises. Welcome to WHEBO!

The Western Hemisphere Elite Baseball Organization (WHEBO for short [ wee-bo ]) is a 24 team fictional universe set in cities based around North and South America.

This is a brand new league and we are just now opening it to registration. This is a great chance to get in from the very beginning with a group of veteran GMs, some with prior commish experience. If you've ever wanted to take on a franchise and build it from the ground up, this is your opportunity. Inaugural draft: Yes, snake style order

General Settings
- 24 fictional teams based in the Western Hemisphere.
- 2 sub leagues with 3 divisions each.
- Division winners plus 1 Wild Card from each league qualify for playoffs.
- 162 game unbalanced schedule with no interleague play.
- Both leagues utilize the Designated Hitter rule.
- 21 Days per sim, Sims executed Monday through Friday.
- Injuries set to Extremely Low.
- Suspensions are disabled.

Global Settings
- Current Ratings Scale 1-10
- Potential Ratings Scale 1-10
- Other Ratings Scale 1-10
- Overall / Potential 20-80 scale (increments of 5)
- Ratings over max = No
- Ratings based on players of similar primary position, not overall pool
- Scouts and Coaches are disabled
- International Free Agents may enter the league from nations based in the Eastern Hemisphere during the offseason. Example: Japan, Australia, The Netherlands

Nice concept. But, 21 days per sim, five days a week? Wow, that's moving at warp speed! Seems, it would be a challenge to get a handle on your team and the league, with the season moving by so fast. I do like seeing that your capping contracts at five years. Good luck with this.

I'm in a league that does 30 days per sim, 5 days per week. It's a lot of fun. I slowed mine down to 21 days so we can utilize the waiver wire and DFA rules to encourage more roster movement and less player hoarding. It's a fast paced league and there aren't that many like it. The pace of this league will slow down for the playoffs. It doesn't take long to build or turn your franchise around. Lots of off season interaction and you get to watch entire careers play out over a much shorter time period. Watching those players you drafted work up through the minors, become your star player, negotiate that big contract to keep him during his prime years, then having to decided to keep him or cut ties as he begins to age and that earlier deal comes to an end. After years go by (several weeks real time, not months) you might get the chance to vote your homegrown talent into the hall of fame.

It's a lot of fun. It's definitely not for everyone. But when you get hooked on a league like this one, it's hard to go back.

Sounds really cool but I like to learn my team a lot more & get a better feel for my organization so I believe passing through 4 months in a single week is a bit too much for me. If y'all change though I'd love to take Nashville or PC.

I used to feel the same way way back before i tried a fast sim league...I had to be coaxed into one but ive found they are quite fun..You still get to love all your players, you just get to see their careers or development for prospects play out a little quicker..Most fast sim leagues ive been in, which i think has been 3 over the years, seem to keep the gms/owners more involved which leads to far less turnover...

I absolutely love the setup and thought put into this league but that is just far too fast of a simulation for me. If anyone is interested in a similar setup but with a slower pace of play I am fully in!

The daily sims too fast or the 21 days per Sim?

I think if u guys try it u will enjoy it...You actually get to see guys careers play out from draft to retirement...Like i said..I once held that opinion, but i love the faster sims now

Excellent! Glad to have you onboard. We might still put the days per sim up for vote once the league gets full. We are planning for 21 days but I have been considering either 14 or 15 days per sim, as well.

Our inaugural season is underway and we've had one GM go MIA!

As such, we are looking to fill the void left in Vancouver with the Cascades franchise. The current league date is May 11th, 2020 and the Cascades are 1 game over .500. They have one of the league's best rated pitchers in 31 year-old Chris "Real Deal" Bray. We are looking for an active GM to take over this team in a still new fictional fast paced league.
