To get to the OPS, don't you just double each category (Contact, Gap, etc) minus one.

OPS = (H+BB+HBP)/AB + (H+2B+3B*2+HR*3)/AB
OPS is OBP plus SLG |

The numbers that are stored internally versus what we see is as you say, doubled then minus one.

Potentially unpopular opinion, but y'all shouldn't just be handing out these resources and formulas. People can compile/calculate it themselves if they want to, lazy bums!

Thanks for enforcing other people's morality. Any other commandments for us?

I started a new thread about this but figured I would put it here.
Has anybody figured out a simple way to get a complete list of your players and rating. I know you can ‘write to disk’ for you active and reserve roster but that limits you to your 200 cards. Thx

Would be nice if there was a simple way to get everyone. I took the long way around it and did an organized activate/deactivate of every player until every single one was active for a file creation.

One select all radio button would improve things dramatically and one filter by CARD or Rating would make this very doable...

When I open packs, I clear out my reserve list so that all the players opened go to the reserve list. As long as you don't open too many and fill up the reserve list, its fine.

The "K" rating does not have any impact on OPS.
Try to change it - OPS stays put. Hm, can this be correct? Maybe so, bc it does not matter if it is a flyout, groundout or strikeout. Can some stat pro confirm? Last edited by RoteLaterne; 03-28-2020 at 03:16 AM. |

If you think about it, the type of out he makes is not a factor in this calculation (since it never shows either calculation - OBP is only about outcomes that result in the batter getting on base). Groundout, strikeout, pop fly - doesn't matter, he got out. So you're correct - a player's OBP is not affected by his strikeout rate. |
