Trade
I must have agonized over this trade for about an hour. Haniger was a fan favourite and my main offensive weapon on a rebuilding team.
Probably the biggest trade I've made thus far with the Mariners. Would you have made this trade? I basically needed help everywhere and needed a starter more than an outfielder. Plus, I'm salivating over how good Franco could become. Little worried about Glasnow in the next few years but hopefully he can help the rotation. |

On an alternate timeline (I also started a new Seattle save) I was able to trade for Glasnow during the offseason and still have Haniger. I'm a bit behind you though so here's a snapshot of my 2020 season so far with those guys.

I probably wouldn't have allowed myself to make the trade. That said, I'm not super impressed with what you got Franco is a real life stud. But doesn't look the same in the game. Getting 5 years of Glasnow (depending on his contract) for a year of Hanniger looks like the steal. As does an MLB ready Franco for a 18 year old pitcher. So, I think you won the trade - too much so. But that version of Franco doesn't look like the by far #1 prospect in baseball |

- I went 67-95 in my first year playing OOTP20. Still learning game, if I end up winning this deal in a landslide maybe I will impose trade restrictions on myself in the future. - Toscano is the 68th ranked MLB prospect. - Franco is not the #1 overall prospect in this game as he is in real life but he is still pretty good. Won Florida State League MVP at age 19 and was ranked 27th best prospect back in April 2020. Not sure why he fell off the list with those types of stats. - Glasnow's next 5 years for contract. 4.64m, 6.7, 8.3, 10, 10. I guess really the main reason I did the deal was to see how good Franco will become. Maybe he pans out into a superstar, maybe not. That's the beauty of this game though. |
