IDK how that Keebler elf continues to do it. That boy knows the moment.

Washington Nationals
Keys for the Nationals 1. Don't get swept - The Astros are heavy favorites. The Nationals need to avoid hearing the hype and do what got them here. 2. Quality pitching - Get quality starts from Scherzer and Strasburg 3 out of their first 4 starts. Blueprint to follow - 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks. The 2001 Yankees had 3 more wins than their Arizona counterparts in the offseason, dozens of more historical championships, had beaten the 116 win Seattle Mariners to get to the World Series, and had the world on their side due to the 9/11 attacks. Needless to say, the Diamondbacks were heavy underdogs, yet won the World Series in 7 games, behind pitching from Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling. Even if the world thinks you don't need to show up, you can still win. Houston Astros Keys for the Astros 1. Dominate - The Astros need to win in 4 or 5 games. If it gets to Game 5 and the Nationals win game 5, then they could have a "team of destiny" mindset that the Astros may not want to be up against. 2. Big Innings - Although the Astros pitching is nothing to laugh at, their hitting is what makes them so great. The Astros need to have a 3 run inning in 3 of their first 5 games, if they do, they will have a tough time losing. Blueprint to follow: 2018 Boston Red Sox Everyone thought the Red Sox were going to be great, and they were. They dismantled the Dodgers in a professional, businesslike manner. The Astros can, and should do the same to the Nationals. Prediction: Astros in 5 Last edited by monkeyman576; 10-20-2019 at 04:10 AM. |

Didn't realize that Boone was another player to hit a walk-off HR to clinch the ALCS

No Cardinals and no Yankees. It's now safe to watch the World Series.

I think he'll always be "Frikkin'" #2 behind Bucky Dent.

As long as we add 3 or 4 more names to that list in the next decade, I'm fine with that.

Why can't players run to 1st base after they hit the ball?

Glad someone brought it up. Media needs to be fair in their criticisms. If it is inexcusable for one player it should be so for all players.

Maybe. We'll never know. That's the point. Don't lose the game wondering "what if I had done my best?". Easiest thing to do in baseball is run. DO IT. I don't mind admiring a home run. BUT IT BETTER BE A HOME RUN.

Who ever said the media needs to be fair? Free speech is free speech. If their opinion is wrong, then it's wrong, but they don't NEED to be anything.

If that was what I thought, then referring to you as Fox"News" would mean I don't think you have a right to exist. And that would be dumb, now wouldn't it?
