People seem to think so, because the prices for historical Yankees has gone up in the last two days and people are paying the prices.

There's so many Yankees the rewards are going to have to be good if they're going to make you collect a bunch of the historical diamonds.

Ive got all the remaining teams covered, just hoping at least two of them are like the indians/As and not like the red sox/cubs

I mean, there was the time 19 where I was specifically and repeatedly accused of tanking for starting Ed Delahanty in CF. Considering he is a diamond card that comes fully trained at CF (albeit with a single digit ranking), I'd say that this clearly meets your requirement.

Edit: To be fair, I did in fact move him to CF (displacing one of Garry Maddox or Paul Blair, both of whom I was using regularly) in a deliberate attempt to lose more games at Perfect and admitted as much in the conversation in question. So in the end, the accusation was actually an accurate portrayal of my true intent.

Sorry for the late response, but not unlike what rules we have pertaining to tanking, life can get extremely messy.

I waited a long time for Triggs (Oakland live) to show up, but he only showed up after I sold off the 2 diamonds and a gold.

its at the point now where you are better off waiting for the market to flood with cards after the missions are released than buying into the hype

He did say tonight that 5 teams would be coming out. So that's 5 of the remaining 12, leaving 7 for November and December. Looking forward to it.

Well, I got over my silliness and started working on a major collection. My goal was to obtain the reward so I didn't care what useless cards I bought to get there, only how much I paid in total.

I will post the details of my first attempt when I finish but I am close enough to say that Pappyzan was right. Collections can be done profitably with a bit of patience and some luck. Thanks to all for the encouragement and information in this thread.

The Tigers have nine connected missions, including a bunch where you need all cards. Final rewards are a 1945 Hal Newhouser and PEAK Miguel Cabrera.

The Angels have five connected missions, final rewards being a 1998 Tim Salmon and PEAK Chuck Finley.

The Nationals have a single mission that gives a 2012 Gio Gonzalez, but you need all nine cards, including a Diamond Strasburg.

All top rewards are Diamonds. There's also the odd pack in there; no diamond packs in the individual missions as far as I can see, but lots of gold packs.

There are also three standalone missions that might be insta-complete for anybody with a decently-sized collection. "2019 Risers", "2019 Sinkers", "The U Collection"; all give standard packs.

Live Risers is just a silly collection -- you need at least 1 gold card which will cost more than the value of the reward. Should've been at least a gold pack for a reward, or not require the gold card.

Without knowing the exact requirements, for most collections that seem like that I already have a card locked from something else so the reward is basically free

The Nationals were one of the teams revealed on Tuesday - so I reckon it's a lead-pipe cinch that the Astros will be one of the teams for the Thursday release.

Well that seems disappointing. Cant imagine any of those cards besides maybe Cabrera are worth anything.
