I see you were able to get it to work. All I get is the HTTP in my preview file. Any hints what I'm doing wrong

Well, I tried googling it and apparently you are supposed to have the desired image size in the img tag, but I can't get to work. Enlightenment by the guy who did get it to work would be appreciated, because these banners are obnoxiously large...

I did a little experimenting and found out you can shrink these signature images by: taking a screen capture of the ones you want, then opening the resulting image and resizing it. You then go to the User CP and delete the img tags and upload a picture. Then you insert the "sigpic" which puts a special tag into your signature block. It'll then use the picture you uploaded.

Sort of a pain but not terribly difficult to do. FYI, I shrunk the 3 images below by 50% and it came out smaller than I anticipated.

Are you sure the sigpic option allows multiple team banners to be shown.

Last time I tested, it gave an error when trying to add a second image banner even though the URLs were different.

As far as I can tell vbulletin does not allow img resize in the signature by default.

Indeed. I was unable to resize it using BBCode or HTML, Charlatan's idea works but I guess you'd have to change it nearly every week to display updated info.

Also, unless I am mistaken (and I could be since this is not my field of expertise), the sigpic option has a 500width max size so a regular downsize from 800width (keeping height aligned) will make the picture too small.

So to get what you want, you would need to grab image, resize yourself, and then upload each team banner to a hosting site so you can use the previous IMG tag method for all your teams.

I tried to capture and parse the current week data from the universe page but have not found a good way to combine the text data with the existing image into a new one that is easily uploaded automatically every few hrs.

In this regard, the OOTP team should be thanked for what they gave us so far. From what I have seen so far, it works well and it is pretty robust and quick to capture the very latest.

I grabbed my existing banners (all 3 teams) as a single picture and then went into some graphic program (I'm on a Mac here at work) and just reduced it 50% (meaning it was now 1/4 as big as it used to be. All 3 teams are shown but it was pretty small. I know the SIGPIC has some sort of max limit but I didn't hit against that (but then again I wasn't trying to optimize it, I was just trying to see if it'd work).

See below!

I changed the logos for my Bees and Barnstormers several weeks ago.

Anyone know why they haven't updated in my signature?
