Hoot, how old is your computer? I had similar issues with mine (the 2013 version) about 18 months ago.

The computer crashed 6 months after that so I had that one about 4 years. An IT friend of mine told me that's about average for computers these days before they crash - which surprised me.

Yeah, my computer is about that old, perhaps more. Have not really had any issues with other games. Some that take a lot of RAM like Civ .VI or World of Warcraft.

Yes Hoot, not sure what the deal is there but just wanted to share my recent experience I had that was similar.

That was my old desktop, now I hope my laptop lasts longer.

Actually in my case thinking back, I could still get into the game but received an error message when I tried to sim a fight or it just froze.

If Jersey Jim's process works, I think it needs to be stickied someplace where it can be easily located....

I'm using the Edge Browser with Windows 10 and followed the instructions

Still have a aggravating problem. I have a HW fighter in my uni by the name of
Watt Adams - HW boxrec # 46256. career 1907 to 1911. Just a TC but every time I
click on him TBCB won't respond and have to close the game as it locks up with not responding.
I tried to make a new file for him in game (Version 2.5.25) to override the bad file
and get to "source" for the new file and it will freeze the game again.

If anyone has a file for this fighter please post it so I can try to override the file in my game. TY!!!

Oh yeah, did not think of that. Thanks Cap, I will try that!

Bummer,...I made a copy of HW Terry Adams & as soon as I changed the 1st name to Watt the game froze up! Weird??

I can still use other fighters & play the game. Maybe I can go back per Jersey Jim's method & get a fix that way.

Ok, I was able to delete that fighter.

OK, one more question I should know the answer to but forgot. Once a fighter has 10 or more bouts they do not show up in the different organizations rankings. WBC - IBF - WBO, ect.
Do I have to have a champion in each organization for the rankings to appear ?
I even made a organization called Gym Boxing League (GBL) so the bottom feeders have a shot a belt. ( Might have to make a T-Can Belt.

I have both active & retired to be ranked. I'll do a Title Bout & check after.
Have several fighter fighters with 11 or 12 bouts with rankings set at Min number of 5 bouts in Top 10 list and Min. number of bouts to get ranked set at 10.

Ahhhh,...I just noticed I had "Rankings only for active fighters" checked.
So I'll un-check that and see if that's it.

- I don't have ask for date at startup at this time.

Ok, after I un-checked "Active fighters only" the rankings did show up!! Sometimes I just get stuck on stupid!

Here is my file for Adams. Boxrec actually spells him Wat now instead of Watt. He was the first opponent from Luther McCarthy, apparently.

Bump....Yesterday, in the middle of a fight I suddenly found myself staring at a box that said something like TB2.5.exe has stopped working. I recall seeing this one time a year or so ago but can't remember if it was a precursor to something disastrous. I'm hoping not. If it is maybe Jersey Jim's workaround will save the day(?). In the meantime, I shut the game down when it showed up, waited a moment while I muttered a few choice words, then restarted the game. It came back but anything I had done during that session had not been saved. Going in again today.

Fingers crossed.
