Corey Seager and Freddie Freeman had two hits each tonight in the losing cause.

We are all tied up.
Now its on to a very cold state of Minnesota for the next three games!

You'd have to be crazy to think that the mets would actually lose the series? Are you nervous? Nothing to worry about. This team hasn't faced adversity all year. Now if they lose game 3, let's see how they respond? (AI CHEATS)
By the way, have you considered tinkering with your lineup at all? Judge is a better player OBP wise than Stanton, what do you think?

Yes, I am very nervous because of the OOTP AI when games are played out!
The lineup is pretty much fine, Giancarlo Stanton was better in the regular season than Aaron Judge, but Judge is having a better postseason.
They will both play in the next 3 games due to the DH rule in Target Field.

A guy in this thread asked me if i was nervous about this World Series. The answer is YES as the MIN Twins take a 2-1 series lead.

For NYM:
Stephen Strasburg pitches his worst game of the playoffs.
He gives up 5 runs on 10 hits thru 4 innings of work. (AI CHEATS!)
We do tie the game up but then Chris Sale gives up 2 more runs which was all the Twins needed.
One of the reasons how the Twins got the runs was that Josh Donaldson committed a HUGE error in the 7th which gave the Twins an extra out. (AI CHEATS!!)
Then Sale hit the next batter!(AI CHEATS!!!)
Then the Twins get a couple of hits to take the lead.
Bryce Harper 2 (3,4) and Jose Altuve (2) get a couple of HRs.
The top of the order did well, but the bottom of the order was awful.
With Strasburg on the mound, i expected to win this game. (AI CHEATS!!!!)

For MIN:
Ervin Santana gave up 3 runs on 5 hits and struck out 7.
Not a bad night.
But it was Gabriel Moya who took the win and Ryan Pressley getting his 2nd save of the postseason.
Byron Buxton hits his 3rd HR of the playoffs.
Joe Mauer was 3-4 with 2 runs scored to help the Twins win.

Can the Mets tie this series up or am i doomed to the AI?

A return trip to the Big Apple is assured as the NY Mets tie up the WS at 2-2!

For NYM:
Clayton Kershaw was awesome.
He goes 6 innings and gives up 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 8 batters.
The Mets needed a strong performance from him tonight and they got it.
The bullpen finished out the game.
I did a little tweaking to the lineup and i got what i wanted.
Aaron Judge (3), Freddie Freeman (6) and Giancarlo Stanton (3) each hit a long-ball into the stands.
The Golden Bat goes to Freeman, who was 2-5, a RS and 4 RBIs, but pretty much every batter contributed except for Josh Donaldson who went 0-5!
But im sure he will bounce back.

For MIN:
Tough night for Phil Hughes who gave up 5 runs on 9 hits.
The Twins were kept pretty quiet save Logan Morrison hitting his 3rd HR of the playoffs.
They just could not figure out Kershaw tonight.

The World Series is going back to the Big Apple. Question is:
Who will be taking a 3-2 lead heading back there?

World Series Tied 2-2!

Wow! Losing to the Giants last year was painful as you suffered key injuries, untimely hitting & subpar pitching. Didn't expect that to happen all in one series but it did. Now i see the Twins are giving you a run for your money, hell....even i'm starting to get nervous! You guys gotta win game 5 & close this out at home for game 6. Don't let it get to a game 7......I can foresee the outcome now! (AI CHEATS 2 YEARS IN A ROW!!!!!!)

Jorge Polanco gets a 3-run double to tie the game for the Twins in the 6th inning. (AI CHEATS!!)
Then a PH-single by Kennys Vargas in the 9th wins it. (AI CHEATS!!!)

A team with 128 wins is down 3-2 in the World Series by a team that has NO BUSINESS beating us!
But i am at the mercy of the AI!

Oh my freaking god! You gotta be sh*ttin me? You have a team 1 thru 25 for the ages and if they lose the world series, something is really off with the AI because this is just not baseball in it's realistic element. This is a sham of a simulation.

If i had SIMULATED the season with this team, im still not sure i would have won it all.
During the beta, all those months ago, i pretty much put together the same team that you see now and i simmed the season 5 times.

With the help of some superb pitching by Jose Berrios and a Mets bullpen that forgot how to pitch, the MIN Twins pull off the upset of the year! (AI CHEATS!)

For MIN:
Jose Berrios gives up 2 runs on 3 hits thru 6 innings and struck out 8 batters.
But it was Gabriel Moya who got the clinching win and Ryan Pressly his 3rd save of the playoffs.
Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano had two hits each tonight.
But it was Jorge Polanco who gets a BIG double off of Zach Britton that put the Twins ahead for good in the 8th inning.
They get the biggest upset over a team they had no business beating.
OOTP gave the MVP to Joe Mauer but my choice is Jose Berrios!
He just could not be stopped all postseason long.
He was 2-0 with a 2.27 ERA with 34 strikeouts for the playoffs.
The Twins did not lose a single game that he pitched!

For NYM:
Noah Syndergaard only gave up 1 run on 3 hits, but the bullpen completely blows the entire season!
Max Scherzer took the loss and Zach Britton blows another WS save!
Bryce Harper (5) and Freddie Freeman (8) had a HR tonight, but all total, the Mets could only muster 5 lousy hits against a pitching staff that was not even near the top of the AL.
Chris Sale gave up 2 more runs out of the pen tonight.
No matter who came to the plate, the Mets just could not get the hit they needed to win this one.

MIN Twins WIN World Series 4-2!

They were probably the biggest long-shots to win the World Series over a 128-win Mets team, but they pulled it off!
They couldn't not have gotten better pitching when they needed it and the hitting was as timely as ever no matter who was on the mound for the Mets.
They won it all and we cant take it from them!
So, another baseball season comes to a close and we will celebrate the...

Oh im not going to argue.
There is no point!
They can say what they want.
Yes, Lukas Berger is right.
The team with the best regular season RECORD does not always win the World Series.
The 2001 SEA Mariners come to mind.
However, there is NO team in baseball history that has a roster comparable to the one I put together.
Can you name off the top of your head EVERY player on the roster on the 1927 NY Yankees?
Considered by many as the best baseball team in history?
Not every player on that team is a HOF or an All-Star.
Notice than in NONE of my rants did i say that the SOFTWARE AI was PROGRAMMED to cheat.
I NEVER said that!
Markus would never put that kind of coding into his masterpiece of a game!
But the AI does cheat and that is a fact of the GAME Engine of the AI, not the SIMULATION engine of the AI.
But i did post PROOF of a much inferior team beating a team that they didn't even belong on the field with!
A team with Byron Buxton, an old Joe Mauer, Jorge Polanco, Nick Buss, Tyler Flowers and Jose Berrios, who pitched like Sandy Koufax throughout the entire Postseason
should have beaten a team with Trout, Harper, Posey, Stanton, Judge, Kershaw, Syndergaard, Britton, Chapman, Donaldson, Kluber, Sale and the rest which make up an ALL-STAR team?
NO WAY!!!
My team was not just the team with the best record in baseball, it was the team with the most TALENT!
There is more talent with just 25% of the team i put together than the ENTIRE Twins team that beat me.
We also lost the WS 4-2!
I didn't even get to a Game 7.
The AI just wanted to end my season right then and there in Game 6!
Is it possible that i didn't mange the team well for the World Series?
That is of course a major possibility.
But in my defense, i managed and played out EVERY SINGLE GAME and won 128 games this year.
Don't forget that I almost lost to the ARZ Diamondbacks in the NLDS in five games and i needed extra innings in order for Bryce Harper to win a 1-0 Game 5!
If i had lost that game, i might have lost my mind!
But then again, i probably never had it to begin with!
Does this mean i am no longer going to play OOTP?
Are you kidding me?
I want to be the FIRST to start the Countdown to Release for OOTP20 already!
I am a devoted fan and player of this game and have been for many years.

Markus, i will apologize to you first.
Second, using the simulation module does not matter.
Each one of the 10000 7-game series would have to PLAYED OUT!
So that means 70000 games would have to be managed, pitch by pitch or one pitch mode which is what i used through out the season.
Pinch hitters chosen, bullpen, stealing, baserunning, lineup changes, that sort of thing.
Third, im trying to tell you what a GENIUS you and the rest of your team are!
YOU DIDNT manipulate or program the AI engine so that the game would be tougher.
The AI did it ITSELF! (so to speak....cmon, lets be real here.)
I didn't have a bad week all season long with this team, never lost 4 out of 6 games at ANY point during the regular season.
But in the World Series i do?
Even in the NLDS, the AI tested me and my Mets to beat the D-Backs and it took and extra-inning Game 5 to do it and i will tell you, i was amazed every time i pressed a key for the next pitch!
I had no idea what was going to happen!
The AI knew that this was the World Series and it upped its game, processing power and code.
It did what it had to do in order for a poor MIN Twins team to beat a team of All-Stars in 6 games!
Personally, you may have created a true AI. (no, im not talking "The Matrix" here and that was a great movie...the 1st one, at least LOL)
Maybe "CHEAT" has been the WRONG word after all this time.
From now on, i will use words like cunning, resourceful, inventive, intelligent, deceptive, calculating and just plain SMART!
Markus, please believe me, i did not mean to make you mad.
But i did you make laugh.
You have the BEST baseball game on the planet and even MLB The SHOW cannot compete with it!
Look at how far you have come all these years to a point where your game is actually used on the networks.
