Naha
Welcome to the North American Hockey Association!
This is my fictional league, using mostly my own created players (there may be some coincidences such as Owen Tippett but that’s just being lazy). I'm starting with 7 teams and plan to expand to 32 when I'm done expanding. The inaugural season Houston Saturns Indianapolis Archers Providence Kodiaks Quebec Huskies San Diego Pharaohs Saskatchewan Generals Seattle Hunters I will report the first round of the inaugural draft in a bit. Oct 5th, 2013 BREAKING NEWS!!!
About a hour before the puck drop on the opening night of the NAHA the commissioners/owners had a huge announcement. "It is with our distinct pleasure to announce that the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia has been approved for expansion and it looks as if the new facility will be ready for them to join the league for the 2016-17 NAHA season." When asked about any other news concerning the league, commissioner/owner Rick Sterling had this to say. "We have big plans that we believe to be monumental to our fan base and to hockey fans in general. By the end of the year we should have things should be more clear in terms of this leagues future. But for now let's focus on tonight!" What dose this mean for the new league? Oct 5th, 2013 OPENING NIGHT The Pre-season is over, predictions have been made now it's game 1 of 48 for 6 teams. The Off-Season predicted champions are in Indianapolis to face the Archers tonight. Your fantasy pools should look closely at the the Tippett-Hammill-Lawrence line. Elsewhere Quebec is in Seattle and Providence is in Saskatoon to visit the Saskatchewan Generals |

San Diego 4 - Indianapolis 3
Owen Tippett of the San Diego Pharaohs makes history and scores the first ever goal in NAHA history at 7:22 of the first period in a 4-3 win at the BankersLife Field House in Indianapolis. Forward Connar Burke scores the first ever goal for Indianapolis in the lose. Quebec 2 - Seattle 3 The newly renovated Key Arena erupts as the Hunters win their first game in the NAHA. Finish forward Sami Heltonen's puck will go into the NAHA wing of the HoF as he notched the first goal in Hunters history. Francis Ducharme of Quebec records the first multi goal night in league history but it wasn't enough for the Huskies. Providence 3 - Saskatchewan 5 It took less the 5 minuets for Saskatchewan fans to cheer as Daniel Sandqvist records the first goal in Generals history in a 3 goal first period. Bren Benett records the first goal for the Kodiaks in the lose. |
