Third season of my fictional league now. I play out every game, pitch by pitch. I'm GM and Manager both. I wouldn't do it any other way. I've simmed to the end of a couple of games where I was getting blown out.

I'm in the minority. I've played nine seasons (just bought the game two weeks ago) and sim the entire regular season, one month at a time. I used to watch the webcasts of playoffs, but last year started managing them myself.

I love the GM aspect of the game, so the off-season is the payoff for me.

I used to sim but now I play out--after the opening innings. Someone suggested that and I love it.

Got my ace? Let him play 6, I'll take it from there.
Scrub? Just the first time through the order.
Need the win? End of season? I play it out fully. Same with playoffs.

It lets me get through the season a bit faster, but I have more control, and I definitely win more, even with weak teams.

Should not this thread be "Who does not play out their single player games?"

I do both so it seems weird to have either thread be some sort of gang tat that matters in any way.

I usually observe about ten games a year to get an idea of how my players are being used in actual game play. I also observe all playoff games.
Just a little joke, nothing to get perturbed over......
