Just downloaded the Mac patch from today and started a standard game--rosters are fine for me.

Did you use a custom installation path? Is the game showing the correct version? 16.3.16 is correct on my Mac.

Downloaded 16.2 again and then downloaded 16.3 and patched it over and that worked.
Thanks for all the help. |

Any way to get the logo from the installer back? The blue/red/baseball icon doesn't fit the Dock like the baseball only icon did.

After more than 20+ years of being a PC user, I just converted to a <gasp!> MAC! Purchased a Mac Book Pro. Thanks for this release!

You won't look back. Had a PC for 14 years of my computer life (10-24) always despising Macs after having them for the first few years of my computer life. Then, after realizing how much PCs suck...switched to Mac and haven't looked back. Have had one computer that has kept up since then.

So i downloaded the new patch and started a new quick start....the Kimbrel trade is there, but the Opening Day Rosters are still in correct. Is this how its supposed to be? Maybe I misunderstood something along the way?

They are as accurate as possible. Sometimes the AI will send certain players down a level or two. For example, when I started the quickstart with the Jays, both Miguel Castro and Roberto Osuna were on the AA roster.

ugh, ohh ok. I've spent the last couple hours re-downloading everything and trying to get Opening Day Rosters...thats kind of disappointing. I can fix it myself, but they likely won't be where they should be. I haven't mastered all the nuances to editing stuff in the game yet.

You have the option of playing in commissioner mode and copying all roster moves and injuries that occur in real life and updating the game rosters accordingly, but that is a lot of work if you are tracking the full set of major league teams. If your goal is to run the game in that style, you'd be better off running historical seasons. For my part, I find it very interesting to watch the season unfold within the OOTP world from a starting point that is quite close to opening day rosters, recognizing that the simulated world will diverge more and more from real life outcomes as the season progresses. |

I'm not sure about MorseMoose, but my experience with OOTP on Mac has been terrific -- the speed with which this last patch business was resolved is an example of how committed OOTP developers are to the Mac platform. In fact, when the glitch was noted, I took it for granted that it would be fixed by the next day, and that's exactly what happened. That's one of the main reasons I'm an OOTP fan. Another is the great support provided by followers of this forum.

I see that the injury effect when there was a diagnosis pending was 'fixed'.
It was much better when it was 'broken'. When someone gets hurt we should know what was injured, even if we don't know the extent of it.

I agree and disagree. I think in pending state, we likely should mention the basics (ie. arm injury or elbow injury, for example). But it would be stupid to say, "pending injury - Tommy John surgery". Geez, I wonder how long he'll be hurt for?

I appreciate the updates and fixes, I just wish the patch wasn't a full 939mb download
