Please help with mods for 1933 Historical Replay
Hi folks,
I will be doing a Historical Replay (chosen at random) of the 1933 season. I love baseball and all it's history. I will be replaying the '33 season in real time day-by-day as the 2014 season progresses. I will not be managing or tinkering with rosters. I will just be observing and seeing if there are any new outcomes different than what really happened. It will be a lot of fun to learn about new (old) players from baseball's history. I am looking for the best mods out there to make this game super fun. I already have imported the historic facegen and that is the cat's ass! Thanks to those who took on that endevour. I need a mod for logos, uniforms, ballparks and any other things that may come recommended. I am playing on a Mac if that matters. I need to know how to implement any mods into the game (what folders, etc. to put them in). I have downloaded a file called "MLB Historical Uniforms 1901-1970" but they are not showing up in my game. I also downloaded "uniforms and logos 1871-1949" but I think those are fictional? Of course any guidance is purely appreciated. |

Hi Joe. I'd recommend consulting the manual, which has a couple of sections on logos, ballcaps, and uniforms.
Since you have a Mac, I can't offer much help on the file locations, but on Windows machines, there is a documents forlder for Out of the Park Developments and OOOTP Baseball 14. There, you would place your files in the ballcaps, logos, and jerseys folders. However, if you already started your game, your Facegens won't be updated unless you ask the game to do this. It's better to have all your logos, uniforms, and things in place before you start a game. Otherwise, OOTP looks for any files that are already there, and since you didn't have them in place, it will use defaults. Again, for Mac users, I don't know much about how this works or whether it works at all. But, for the Windows version, you can go into your league settings and the player pictures functions to do mass updates or mass creation of graphics. |

Well that helps a little. Thanks Charlie. The facegen is working fine. I will also have no problem re-starting, since I haven't played any games.
I was hoping someone would have used a Mac in this game before. But now probably the Biggest question still remains. What files am I looking for and where do I find them? Since I have facegen already working, I've got to have the historical caps, jerseys for sure. I could live without the ballparks, but don't want to. Does anyone know the BEST mods for this? |

Out of the Park Baseball Manual
I think there will be logos, ballcaps, and jerseys folders where you would install your downloaded and extracted files. For more help, visit the mods sub forum and then the logos and graphics sub forum under that. Use the search function for the forums too. You can search for "Mac" and whatever terms you want. |
