I see so many posts about how this game is horrible right now and not worth playing. I think this is a great game I play this all day every day when I can and I think once all these league customation features are turned on this game will be unreal. It may not be ootp 14 yet, but it will and we won't have to wait long.

Don't be mistaken, there are a lot of people who are saying the exact same thing as you...we just don't scream loud like the others.

Once I got the right version installed (I got one of the "bad beta" downloads), I can't say enough good about this! Would I like to see some added features, certainly, but for a beta, it's not that bad. I would think that the game will be in it's final version by the release date, and then updates will be added throughout the fall.

For their first attempt at a hockey game after doing baseball games for so long, it's going to take a while, but I would say their first attempt is pretty darn good! I compare all hockey management sims to Eastside Hockey, and this has the potential to be better than that was! Those that want to talk bad about the game should first, stop whining, and second, try to develop their own game if they think they can do better.

That's all I got.

Yeah, I think we're all very critical, just because of our passion... it'll be a good game and we all want input on how to make it that way....

Anyone know for sure when all these features will be turned on, I'm guessing when the release comes out?

We don't know.
But my personal impression is that we're behind schedule in making all these features workable...

I agree with hockeyfanatic. This is going to be a great game. The developers deserve a ton of credit for how far it's come already, and we know that, like all OOTP products, it's only going to get better and better as time goes on. Can't wait for FHM 2020.

I think that the next Beta update will probably be a good update and a very stable + playable game.

After that it's just a week of tuning and editing data. The upcoming months after that will be improving this game and bug-fixing off all the feedback they get. ..And by the end of this year everything will work solid and we can start dreaming of version 2.0

Haven't gotten a chance to play it much at all yet though as I've been busy! But I'm itching too!

I am not even a huge hockey fan (I was more as a kid growing up on Long Island with some crazy Islander's teams) and I must say I can see the limitless potential in this game. Very excited.

Nice to see some baseball folks coming over to FHM to check things out. Appealing to the non-hockey people is just as important to appealing to the diehards.

I've purchased every version of ootp since 9 and I would not consider myself a baseball fan...especially since the Jays have sucked for long. I'm a fan of stat based sport games and enjoy how simple or complex ootp can be. It would be wise for this game to follow suite and it appears to be doing so with the fictional mode that will only get deeper in the next version. It was just tacked on last minute but appears people are glad it was, even if it meant minimal customization to their fictional league for the time being.
