FHM Drafting
The draft is very difficult to the point of being simply guessing. Without draft rankings and decent scouting records, its almost impossible to even guess who to pick.
Being that the draft is arguably the most exciting day of a hockey sim, I found it quite disappointing. As the game matures, I'd love to see some scout recommendations, central scouting rankings, etc... to make this day as exciting as it should be. |

I agree with you for sure.
It would be great to have a full list of 200 rankings from your scout along with full list of ISS to compare to. Hopefully something is added to the first version and if not to the second.

Yeah, it makes me sad.
![]() Also I've simulated a lot of seasons, and it seems I never get past like 3-5 seasons without a crash that ruins my file... |

EHM handled this very nice with those ISS reports 3 times a year.
Wish we could have something like that in the game.

I agree completely. However, I'd wait until the full release to worry about it. They should be adding new things for the full release (as well as an update before release) and drafting is obviously lacking. If the first FHM is released without a fix, then we should be making a bigger deal.
Helmespc, I too believe that draft day is the most exciting day of the sim. EHM's draft day was one of my favorite features and I spent usually around an hour doing the seven round draft. |

Agreed, RamMan.... for as critical I am of FHM's draft day experience, the game totally rocks as far as UFA day/week/month... miles ahead of the meager free agency / contract signing experience provided by EHM. I love the fact that it gives more feedback on how the player feels about offers and the fact that players will shut you out if you low ball them... also like how the players will give you a chance to match other teams offers as the stakes raise.

I honestly don't see that huge of difference like you guys say for Free agency between FHM and EHM. How is it miles ahead?

EHM had no decent free agency view, no player feedback, nothing aside from some news items. Also it was really pathetic about letting the cat out of the bag about every single offer being made.... miles ahead.

But the feedback that we get from the player is very minimal to the point where it doesn't mean much. Right now there is pretty much zero room for negotiation with the AI in free agency and contract resigning. Wouldn't mind seeing free agency day 1 and 2 broken down to hours or quarters similar to how we see current day where a majority of the big player go first then teams scramble to plan B. The FA process is a great start and hopefully they build on it in version 2.
