Question re history utility

Im having an issue with cato's history utility and hope someone can shed some light on this. Hopefully I'm just overlooking something.

I have just completed my 2nd season as the D'Rays with the Total Minors rosters, Ive run the utility correctly (i think)

The web pages generated only show the current year 2004 for the team pages, and only the current year for team career leaders (i.e Huff let the team in hits with 198 and is the career leader with 198) even though he should have last years totals as well.

To answer the obvious question, yes i did uncheck the box in the options tab of the setup that says this years stats only.

One thing i found strange was if i look at an individual player, the previous seasons stats are there but under career totals it says something like 2 years pro, 1 year sim (assuming he was a rookie, my first year of simming) or for someone like rey ordonez, it would be 8 years pro, 1 year sim. I would think it should say 2 years sim

So it seems that the utility if thinking that my first year of the league is just historical stats, not part of my game..

Do you think there is anyway to make the game pick up the first seasons stats for accumulation purposes? Hope i explained this right.

one other question: I had traded for Aaron Heilman last year and he pitched most of 2003 for me, and became my #2 starter in 2004, the history utility web pages show no menion of the 2003 season. it shows as if 2004 was his only year in the league. Howver all other players seem fine. Any ideas?

thank in advance for the help

Wow, this is the first time I've seen a question go unanswered.

Either:

1) I dont know how to phrase a question correctly

2) No one cares about team career leaders

3) I finally stumped everyone

4) all of the above

Anyway, Im still trying to work tis out on my own, If i do I'll post in case anyone else is interested

I guess a another way to ask would have been do you need to run the history utility the first year you start a league. Could the program pick up the previous years for accumulation purposes?

thanks again

You would have to run the utility after each season...so, lets say you've just finished the world series of your 3rd year...and you decide you want to use the History utility.... just running it at the end of your 3rd seasons..will make the utility think that that is your first season...

So basically..at the end of each season...you will need to run the History utility for it to compile it the way you want it to..

From reading your first post..it looks like you've played 2 seasons..ran it at the end of the 2nd season...and are only seeing the 2nd seasons stats come up as being simmed. As I said..you would need to run it at the end of the first season..and then at the end of the second..for them both to be compiled into the HTML's. If you still have a copy of the files from the first season you can rerun the utility for the first season, and then run it on the second season to get them both.
