Greatest one game performance(played only one game)?
In baseball,Tom Paciorek's brother played in one game and went 3-3 and never played MLB again.
Has there been anyone in NHL history that only appeared in one game and had a hat trick or was a goalie that had a shutout and never played again? Last edited by Orioles1966; 02-03-2013 at 12:14 PM. |

Really sorry about that
![]() Hope the link below works better. The page is from the Official Site of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for but it does appear to have a listing of all players who played just one game in the NHL Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- One Game Wonders |

NHL One-game wonders at Hockeydb.com can't say about goalies, because as you can see, there is only points no wins ets. You can ofcourse go name after name. |

That's kind of shocking that a player wouldn't have more than a goal or an assist in one game and never play again.

I don't think so. If a player gets more then a point chances are he'll always get at least a second game. Even if his defensive play was awful.

Well, there's Akim Aliu who leads all players with two career NHL games in goals (2), points (3) and penalty minutes (12). But I would guess that he'll appear in his next NHL game sooner rather than later.

If the question were-who had one good season and never played again ,my vote would be Michel Briere. Died in a car crash after playing one season for Pittsburgh.

Jeremy Williams.
Played one NHL game per season for several seasons, he scored a goal in each one of those games (3 goals in his first 3 games, spread out over 3 years). Last edited by Neasag; 02-03-2013 at 02:13 PM. |

If the Maple Leafs ever had a player who played well in his first game, they usually put him on waviers or release him. Shame on that player.
