Career over.... but made me smile

Just started the 1991 season and I re-signed Bonds to a 1-year deal. Seven days later his career is over with a skull fracture! how freaking sweet is this game?

Big loss for my team but it is moments like this that make this game amazing. Farewell Barry with your 190 career HR's.

Skull fracture? Bonds? Did somebody hit him with a sledge hammer or something?

Oh, wait a minute. 1991 . . .

And good riddance. The game today would be much better off if he did get a CEI then.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

In my perfect OOTP world Hank can hold onto the HR record a little longer.

Hank still holds the record. Disregard Pumpkin Head.

With that oversized melon of his presenting such a big target, I'm surprised Bonds didn't take more pitches to the head.

I didn't know Eddie Murphy played for the Pirates before he became an actor.

Actually we don't know that it was a pitch that cracked his skull. I figure maybe his ego was so huge his skull cracked from the inside to relieve the pressure.

Of course, if CatKnight had his way, Bonds would be killed off by the skull fracture instead of just having to retire. (Hey, that's how Ray Chapman died...)

Good to see you around, CK.
