Getting started...

I have a bit of an issue with this game... I can't get started! I mess with stuff over and over before I start a league and then I just rinse and repeat. I want to do a smaller type custom league (Maybe the ABA quickstart would be best? I tried to load The Koana Islands, but couldn't get it to work) and go... but I can't figure out what I want. I don't know if I want to start from scratch and do the complete draft, let the computer draft, sim multiple years (what would be best) and take over a team (maybe expansion team) It shouldn't be this hard.. haha!

Welcome to OOTP!!! I have probably restarted my leagues 50 times and continue to do so when I decide to try something different. Good luck in your next season, whatever you decide to do.

I've been playing for over 5 years now and can count the number of times i've made it though a season without starting on one hand. I might need help

Don't get discouraged, Brandon! Though, the other guys are right. Me, I blew up my universe at least once a year for the first four releases I bought.

So, you're normal.

If I had to do it over again, I would have not tried so hard to get the perfect universe on my first try. I would have just generated a fictional quick start, played for a while, and eventually blown THAT up. Much less effort than creating logos and financial rules right out of the gate, only to start all over when you learn more about how the game works.

Hang in there. It's so worth it. And any specific question you'll have will be (or has been) answered here.
