viewing players.dat

Using iPhone Explorer, I copied the players.dat file from my iPod to my desktop. I assume this is the file in iOOPT that contains all the players' statistics. I would like to open this file in a text editor or something like MS-Excel/MS-Access in order to better analyze the players' careers. I've had no luck being able to open the file in a readable format. How can I do so? Thanks.

I don't have iOOTP but in the desktop version, you cannot edit the players.dat file, you have to go into commish mode (not sure if iOOTP has this) and then click on a player and an editor tab should appear and you can edit there.

Sadly, there is no player editor in iOOTP

Hoping that palli can work his magic and make it happen soon!

No, that will not work. We will have our Summer Meeting next month and will discuss all topics regarding OOTP13 and iOOTP 2012 then. Believe me, we already have a loooong list of possible additions and an editor of some form is on it. I can not promise anything in this moment, only that I will talk to Markus and Andreas about it.
