First thing I did was play the 2011 season out in a quick sim. The Royals made the World Series. Guess this sim ain't worth a crap!

I kid...I kid. I look forward to importing my fictional league form OOTP11 when I can and really diving in.

just finished my first game. and of course my orioles blew it in the bottom of the ninth.

The All in one mod takes forever to download and the roster sets are a mess. This is in contrast with what the manual said:

"the best roster set we've ever produced, from the big leagues' top stars to the guys making their debuts in rookie leagues. All players are individually rated with updated statistics and realistic contract data."

If these are the best roster sets ever I would hate to see previous edditions. Also the contract data is wrong at least as often as it is right.

The draft is still half american players according to the nationality flag, all of them just have last names like torres, sanchez, rodriguez, martinez, lopez, gonzalez, etc. not a single brown, johnson, smith, thomas, etc

First impressions? Same game, same problems.

Also, if you've been waiting patiently to play with 2011 rosters you have a lot of work ahead of you to get them right.

But the org depth chart is nice.

In Commissioner Mode, go to "Explore the World" in the Manager Drop Down menu and then select the Untied States. Then select the tab for "Nation Editor" and check out the Language information. If it is not kosher, set it to what you think it should be. If the First choice is US Modern and its value is much higher than all the others, then you have an issue that needs further investigation.

Love the financial test and stat calibration tools. Generating International FA's is nice. Small things, like listing the market size and fan interest on the available jobs screen are nice too.

On the bad side, locking a player to a minor league level doesn't prevent him from being called up directly to the majors. I hope that's unintentional. International scouting doesn't seem to find many prospects, especially given the cost (small sample size so far, of course). I've also had this cause negative national scouting budgets, no idea what the ramifications of that are. Third pitch development still seems to be completely random. That's disappointing, since the lock feature and player dev budget had me hopeful.

I think it is assumed with the option to lock players at a minor league level that you are handling the major league roster yourself, but allowing the AI to manage your minor leagues. Never thought anyone would want to use it in conjunction with allowing the AI to promote to the majors.

had the same issue and your suggestion appears to be the solution. when i went to the US page it lists Hispanic as the language/name origin no. 1.

Sometimes I just like to draft and handle off season FA's. In this case, I wanted to lock my freshly drafted college RP to A, in hopes that he might learn a third pitch. Looks like I failed on each.

I thought the best use for this feature would be to prevent the AI from using a stud prospect in an MLB backup roll or to avoid super-2. Just being able to prevent A to AA promotions is disappointing.

I will log this as an issue and we'll see what happens. I just don't think anyone thought of using this option the way you are wanting to (At least , I know, I didn't).

Thanks. If you're in the logging mood...high demand amateur draft prospects shouldn't slide in the draft when draft pick negotiation is turned off. It breaks no scouting, no negotiation leagues pretty bad right now.

First draft I ran w/o signing bonuses had the top 5 highest demanding players picked in the first 8 picks.

2nd draft, ditto, top 5 went in first 8 picks.

I'll keep an eye out for this, but it doesn't appear to be a problem that I can tell.

If you have more information, I'd like to hear it.

Same issue here. I was wondering if I was the only one who had this issue. I'm sure it's a bug that needs to be addressed.
