Can't register game?

I got a new laptop and just downloaded OOTP, I initally purchased this game last May on my other computer and now when I enter the serial # or license key it says "Game could not be activated"

Anyone seen this problem?

Ditto ... same problem. Tried turning off firewall, but no luck.

I'm trying to reinstall OOTP 11 and I just received the same message. I even tried releasing the license to my other OOTP 11 installation on my MacBook thinking that maybe I ran out of activations, but that didn't help.

It's so frustrating!

Went through the same thing last night. Had to have a new hard drive installed and when I downloaded the game again I got the same unable to activate message. I found the boxed version at Best Buy today for 4.99, so I'm back up a running.

Sounds like you will have to raise a "ticket" for it.
How did you buy the game?
Through OOTP Developments?

Too funny... went to run 11 tonite on my second notebook and have the same issue. I just put in a ticket (don't laugh) I'll post anything they happen to kick back. Don't see them answering anytime soon with 12 going live this week though.

This will work for 11 also. Just make sure the correct key is used.

Thanks for the reply and help RchW, I did try that and got an error message stating that I had exceeded my licenses. I have it installed on one other notebook, but that's it. I had just run it the other nite too. Deanemj is right, very frustrating.
