I don't like the design and wish it would be changed, but it's not a real big deal to me if it isn't. Reports and AI are always my biggest concerns, but I still care about some of the little things like this too.

I realize that sometimes the way a person complains about something is what's focused on, but I learned a long time ago to just ignore that. I focus on the complaint only and not the way it was expressed.

i hate the new look, makes the logo look like crap. Just take out the logo if you're only going to show half of it.

I wonder if you could "fix" it by copying over a different set of logos. After the game is created and the smaller logos are produced, copy over a set of images which each have a smaller logo in the middle and extra space all around. When displaying the team page, the game would cut off the extra space on the top and bottom and leave the full logo visible.

I was wondering that also. Would the game overwrite the smaller copy to return it to it's original size?

It's annoying. Try as I may, my eyes just shoot up to it every time it's on the screen. That's the life of a perfectionist. Really looks like a 3rd grader designed it as a first attempt at creating a skin design.

Slight exaggeration there.

Philadelphia Phillies on Yahoo! Sports - News, Scores, Standings, Rumors, Fantasy Games

Philadelphia Phillies News, Schedule, Photos, Stats, Players, MLB Baseball - SI.com
So they use an idiotic format also. It doesn't mean everyone has to do it because some moron on some other site decides to use it. There wasn't anything wrong with previous skins so why fix what wasn't broken?

I also realize there are people in the world who will accept anything because.......well let's just say they have their reasons which they would never admit to anyone, but one can certainly easily pick out those on these boards who are like that since they never have a problem with anything, or if they do they would never say anything, and all they do is talk down to anyone who does have a problem with something as if the complainant is not entitled to express his/her view.

I do find it interesting that a few people would actually go out and hunt down websites. That is funny. If it's such a non-issue why bother?

I have to admit, some people here are quite entertaining and I can usually grab a laugh or two.

The image itself would be large (150x150), but it would have a small logo in the middle (90x90 or whatever) surrounded by a transparent area. The game would still see it as a 150x150 image, and when it formats the page the transparent part would get cut off and leave the logo intact.

I have no problem with people expressing their opinion (see one of my previous posts where I mention it), the problem I have is that you call somebody a "moron" or somebody who is probably a "3rd grader" when quite clearly you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Grow up mate, seriously.

Maybe there will be a new skin released in the near future which will alleviate this issue

I actually think it looks pretty good with the circular cap logos I'm using.

I kinda dig the aesthetics of the "lopped off" logos - you see it on the networks a lot. But then, I also want the old pixelated scoreboard font back - you can't have everything

Ok, Frasier thanks for the insight, way to get into other people's heads. Did you confirm your diagnosis with Niles? We all know it just couldn't be that we've seen these designs before both on the web and tv and, I don't know, actually liked them? No that couldn't be it because we secretly hate them but just won't tell.

For the record you've done nothing but talk down about the gui designer and to anyone that doesn't share your opinion. Wait no, you're right and everyone else is wrong. Ok, gotcha.

I find it funny that you tell people to check other sites so they can see that nobody else uses these types of logos. Then when proven wrong you criticize them for proving you wrong, talk about being entertaining. Nice try. Admit you were wrong and that at least in some professional design circles this is accepted and wanted. Those sites weren't designed for free.

Yes, his opinion. Just like everything you've said about the logos is your opinion and no more valid than anyone else.

Truncated logos suck.

You know a version or two ago, I had asked Markus how to get that back as I loved the pixelated scoreboard font, he told me it was an easy fix, but never PM'd me back.

That says a logo is doing its job, doesn't it? Grabbing your attention?

Kind of like you're doing now.

I love the new logo look. I love it so much, I'm going to name it. I name it.....ready? The "StyxNCa Format."

Sure. Why not join the club?

I did start the thread and the usual cast of characters decided to pipe in with their usual pap. What they have said is just their opinion but they are of the mindset that their opinion is the right one and anyone who has a different one is being petty or stupid.

I will give them credit for one thing. Being able to predict how people will react and then watch them do it is quite entertaining. I still have to laugh at those who actually hunted out websites. I suggested someone do that and sure enough someone did, if for no other reason than to prove me wrong. Actually they didn't prove anything I didn't already know, which is why I made the suggestion. I wanted to see who some of the fools are. Thanks to those who cooperated on that.

Call it what you will. It doesn't effect me one bit other than the knowledge that I have had an impact on you, so much so you want to memorialize me.

That's what an opinion is -- if you didn't think you were right, it wouldn't be your opinion. As far treating anyone like they're petty or stupid -- that didn't really start until . . . .

You expected everyone to believe you unconditionally? People proved you wrong . . . because you were wrong.

I don't know you, and I don't judge you personally, but -- and I mean this as objectively as I can -- you are really coming off poorly in making your point. It's a valid criticism, and a lot of people agree with your core sentiments, but making this personal won't help you or your cause. My two cents.
