Historical Question---Contraction Style
I want to start a Historical League in 1977...the year MLB expanded to 26 teams
I am turning off expansion because I want those 26 teams to stay in place for the remainder of the league history My question is---will the players from Colorado, Florida, Tampa and Arizona be there when my draft happens each year? |

Yes.
If you have draft on, they appear there. If you have automatic rookie assignments on, then they will be free agents. At least, that's how it was in X. |

For the OP - What happens is, if you have the game set to import historical players each year you have a choice. They can go to their original teams, or if that option is disabled, they'll be in the draft pool. |

He means that in historical league play, if you disable the draft, the players are placed on their original team...automatically
