Cannot get a License
I'm running Windows XP. I first downloaded the game using one of the many links offered. I succeeded to the point where I could input my purchase code. I then received the error message "Sorry could not get a license at this time. Please try running this program later 616 1". I tried this several more times with the same result except the numbers were 361 1, rather than 616 1. Another difference was I never reached the point where I could input my purchase code.
Next day (now) I tried again. Same result. I then uninstalled the game and reinstalled it with a different link. As before, when I double-click I still cannot reach the license page. I get the tired old "Sorry could not get a lincense at this time. Please try running this program later 361 1. What is going on here? |

Ok. Not sure how many more details I can come up with. I ordered it on Tuesday, May 26th. I did note another error message that I received. When I first installed the game I received the message "Error 4 internal error 3". Hope these meager items can help.

Same problem here. I purchased on May 12, downloaded earlier today from the first link which was an OOTP server. I installed and when I click to open the program I can't even enter my license number. An error pops up stating "Sorry, could not get a license at this time. Please try again later." Then it lists the following numbers:
361 1 |

The OP stated in his first sentence that he was running Windows XP.

Hmm, it seems like the eLicense wrapper is having trouble reaching their servers.
Do you have a firewall (Windows, ZoneAlarm) running? Can you try, just as a temporary measure, disabling your firewall? |

OK, mine is fixed - everything is ok now. I deleted the first install and re-downloaded the program from the OOTP10.leagueserver this time. Also, I realized during the first install I had some programs running, so what I did was re-start my computer, close anything running then re-installed.
I got the license screen then an error stating Windows had to close the program popped up. After closing I tried again and bingo everything worked. I'm running XP by the way. |

Success! I backed away from this Baseball 10 thing for awhile and went back to Title Bout 2.5. Never had any problems loading it. But this time I received the exact same error message as in baseball. I've had the license and everything else up and running since December. So I decided to run a scan for virus problems. That was it. I eliminated some adware or whatever and was able to install the lincense. It's great to get it going. Thanks for all the help.
