2009 SF Giants
Very excited for this season and I think well suprise the NL West even though the West is again pretty horrible.
Catcher- Bengi Molina 1st- Travis Ishikawa 2nd- Emmanuel Burriss SS- Edgar Renteria 3B- Pablo Sanoval LF- Fred Lewis CF- Aaron Rowand RF- Randy Winn SP- Tim Lincecum Randy Johnson Matt Cain Barry Zito Johnathan Sanchez CL- Brian Wilson I think we have, by far, the best rotation in the West and possibly in the NL. We have a decent lineup but I think a good mix of young players and veterans. A lot of speed and a potential of a bit of power with good D. I dont know why we dont have Schierholtz somewhere in there but well see how the season goes and if we trade anyone like Rowand, Winn or Molina. I cant wait for Posey and Madison Bumgarder* to come up its going to be VERY NICE. And im excited to see how Sandoval does this year.....a lot of good things can happen or we can sink and trade a few vets for some more youth, its funny to say that when talking about my Giants, youty. Hmm |

Good luck I hope the Giants do well as I really like Lincecum however with that lineup I dont see a lot of potential for runs.

Well 4-8 start isnt horrible but its not great. Our pitching was supposed to carry our team but it was a little lackluster thus far but Timmy showed his 2008 form by fanning 13 the other night but still losing and the Big Unit flirted with a no-no the other night and Cain has been solid. And Zito is well...ugh.
Really our only bright spot on offense has been Fred Lewis who is doing a solid job, Molina and Rowand has done well...as well. Maybe someone will take them at the trade deadline if we are sinking to fast. SANDOVAL hi the damn ball ahhh. |

Im really inpressed with how we are playing right now, just took 2 of 3 from the Dodgers which is great and our pitching is doing really well. Zito finally has had a few good starts in a row and Lincecum is just right on as always.
Molina is anchoring the offense and I really think we are 1 big hitter away from being right it in. |

The Giants are a fun team to watch. I often watch them because I love Kruk and Kuip, and I've been pleasantly surprised by how they've played with a line-up that was very questionable on paper.
Sandoval is going to be a very solid player, and I love his personality. I've also been shocked by how well the Big Unit is pitching so far. Fred Lewis seems to half-ass it too much, though.

2 of 3 from the Dodgers again, seems like this is the time for the Giants to make a movie with the Dodgers without Manny!
